This was our second cruise with NCL. Our first was a 7-day Caribbean cruise in February 2016. This 8-day cruise to Greece and Croatia from/to Venice was not quite up to the level level of friendly service we received on the Caribbean cruise. It seemed like the crew was tired and "over it."  They were courteous and accommodating, but they did no more than necessary. Our room steward was great, but overall the remainder of the crew were not nearly as friendly as the crew on the Caribbean cruise. 

Everything was great, professional staff, food, entertainment, shows, except for the cancelation of Split, Croacia, due to wheatear conditions.

This is the third time I go on this, I love it. 

Favorites: Ship staff; food choices; great shower in cabin; high quality entertainment (though heavily oriented to pop/disco); quiet hallway due to being in front of ship and very few kids on ship.

Less satisfied with: constant emphasis on selling (tours, art, shops, raffles, drinks, etc.); minimal educational content about ports, other than as part of selling tours (other cruise line had educational seminars before each port that were then replayed on TV); despite the few children on board, most movies in English seemed to be aimed at that audience (Angry Birds, Jungle Book, etc.); prohibition against bringing liquids on board (only diet soda was Diet Pepsi which is awful, while other drinks were heavy on sugar); buffet area was always very crowded and quite noisy.

Worst disappointment: insufficient incentives for back-to-back cruisers (incredibly slow wi-fi used up the "free" minutes in first week, no extra excursions for second week) despite constant email bombardment with offers to get 2-5 freebies per cruise.  The few dollars saved by buying back-to-back didn't compensate for the lack of incentives for the second week.

This was a fantastic cruise and vacation. Due to the time, end of September, it wasn't too crowded with children and it was a very relaxing atmosphere.

I enjoyed all of the ports. The ship's staff were eager to please.  My favorite  person was Gina, the front desk manager.  Gina went above and beyond.  Kelly at the Japanese restaurant was awesome and most of the servers  remembered our names. Best cruise yet! The staff made the difference.  I would have liked to have found breakfast food at a later time and the restaurant on deck  8 wasn't good.  The food seemed to be warmed up and not cooked.  

This was the first and last time we will cruise with Norwegian Cruise Line.

It was totally geared up for American customers although a large percentage were

European etc...

The ship it self was very nice, clean etc.. however some staff were lacking and

in a couple of instances quite rude and abrupt.

There were lots of hidden extras such as WIFI, drinks were extortionate prices

and food in some bars and restaurants poor.

We will be going back with Fred Olsen next time

Really enjoyed Croatia ports which we knew little about - NCL excursion guides were knowledgeable and courteous.  Santorini is one of the most picturesque places in the world!  No need to book a ship excursion there, just explore Oia and Fira on your own.  Good to have a guide in Athens - so much history!  Plan to stay an extra day in Venice - an amazing city and its surrounding islands of Murano and Burano are fun to visit.  Don't forget your gondola ride in Venice - a classic!

NCL Jade is an old ship but has everything needed for a great cruise, Freestyle is awesome and the ultimate dining and beverage packages were great value!

The cruise itinerary had two days of "At Sea," this was really nice as just having a couple of days to relax between ports and go no where was pleasant. We loved the Shore Excursions, but needed some down time to just relax as well.  Cabin temperature controls were excellent, especially when it was 85F with 80% humidity outside.

This was our 3rd cruise with Norwegian and it was the worst one!! The passengers and many of the crew were EXTREMELY rude.  The activities on the ship were a joke.  There were so many activities and nighttime entertainment on the other NCL ships that we were on previously.  Most of the crew didn't understand English and were unable to answer our questions.  The service was poor at the specialty dining and the complimentary sit-down restaurants.  We had to wait very long for a soda refill plus many times when we ordered items such as dessert, we were served something that we didn't order or the items didn't come at all.  If I ordered a regular Pepsi, I would get a diet Pepsi.  It took very long for the bar drinks to arrive at the table as well.  I ordered a Mudslide and the bartender made it with pina colada mix---I didn't ask for a pina colada, I asked for a mudslide.  When we ordered room service, the person who took the order asked how many people were in the room and when I told them 2 people, they remarked that "it was a lot of food for just 2 people".   We are extremely disappointed with our experience and doubt we will cruise with NCl again.  Such a let down. 

The Jade is not a recent made ship though will not call it an old ship. It has maintained its charm and character. It is detailed maintained making it a friendly place to move around for seven days.  The crew is top class, friendly and caring. 

Simply fantastic I would travel with NCL again.  From our mini suite to the staff all was 1st class.  The specialty dining was a nice option to get away from the buffets

This cruise with Norwegian, should not be a honeymoon option! I gave it three stars because of the ports. Spend at least 3 days in Venice, it is one of the most beautiful cities you will ever see. Old Dubrovnik is beautiful! A must see for Game of Thrones fans, yes I went on the GOT tour..."Shame, shame, shame...." is that enough of a hint?! Santorini, spectacular, you don'the need a good camera/ smart phone to take great pics, it is beautiful everywhere you look. The Acropolis in Athens, Zeus' monument, and first Olympic Stadium, amazing...all cities, very, very, hot in the summer! As for ship, food was great everywhere....and so were the kids! Children were able to monopolize the pools, hot tubs, and clubs at night, where alcohol is served. There were curfews in venues for 'no kids' (11 p.m.) but they were not enforced by Norwegian management.....Not so quiet in the 'Quiet Spaces'. I was able to craft a relaxing vacation by booking a stateroom with a balcony; a must! 

From start to finish it was excellent.

Everything seems so effortless / there's a calmness amongst the crew which creates a great environment to relax and enjoy the experience.

The food / crew / entertainment FIRST class!

Our only complaint was the size of the swimming pools ( 2 pools but should just be one) and how salty it was. You could float without any effort!

This was a great family cruise that had great customer service.  Our last Norwegian cruise on the epic unfortunately had poor customer service, except in the "pay-extra" locations.  

The crew to passenger ratio was right on the Norwegian Jade and it made a huge difference and we had great service everywhere we went.  The kids had a great time with the  youth program and my wife and me had a great time at other activities and then when we met back up there were plenty of family friendly events we could enjoy together.  Friendly staff with a great travel itinerary, overall the family had a great time and it will be a vacation to remember.

Excellent service, great food, professional staff.  Overall an excellent cruise experience.  Loved it!  Bar tenders are awesome.                                                                                                                                                                                                                         

The itinerary on this cruise was awesome. The food on the ship was really good; however, the service was way below average. Our room attendant was the worst we had ever had in 18 cruises. Overall rating for NCL is 2.5.

- Awesome itinerary with a variety of interesting ports

- Loved the quality of the shore excursions that included eating at authentic restaurants; great guides

- Jade is a clean and well maintained ship; excellent service 

- The buffet had a nice variety of food; menus in Grand Pacific were good

- Liked that promenade deck was not always crowded 

- The smoking was annoying.

This was by far the worst cruising experience I have ever had. The Norwegian staff was extremely un accommodating and allowed for several guests to verbally and physically harass me and my husband during our honeymoon cruise (this cruise). After several complaints were filed and nothing was done, I met with the head of security and wrote a formal complaint. My "vacation" consisted of being harassed and picking up glass from the floor while security sat around and did nothing. I would never recommend Norwegian cruise lines to anyone, especially not anyone with children. This was a horrible experience and I wish I would have never booked this cruise with Norwegian. 

The favorite part of the cruise are the land base tours specifically Santorini, Olympia and Mykonos. Corfu was another destination but not very interesting (maybe another port of call location would be an improvement). The food was very good and the entertainment and general ship board activities were average. The crew were polite and very accommodating always ready to serve to make our vacation memorable.
