Review summary

Happy with sailing from Tampa and intinary but everything else was subpar. Wouldn’t allow door decorating, did not include bottled water in Ultimate Beverage package, excessive gratuities ($20 a day per person) instead of $16 a day. Food was too salty and below average even. Entertainment was disappointing. Overall a waste of money. This was expressed by many others including long time Norwegian cruisers. We felt we were nickel and dimed to death! Will NEVER do Norwegian again and recommend others do the same!

Cagney’s was excellent, as well as Irish Pub O’Sheans. All other meals were too salty and chicken was overcooked and extremely dry. Not satisfied with food at all. Ultimate beverage package did not include bottled water provided on all the other 45+ cruses we’ve taken. Very disappointed!

Tracey, our room steward was excellent and we tipped her accordingly. Female bar servers in Magnums and Bliss were fantastic…can’t remember their names. I was ver impressed by them.

Yes, clean and well-maintained particularly the bathrooms.

Room was adequate. Had to have beds separated because you couldn’t get around edge of bed easily. Husband continually bumped his head on closed bunk bed above.

Ship tip

Choose another Cruise line. We will never be on a Norwegian ship again.

Like the other poster indicated, NCL doesn't allow door decorations and I can understand why in many cases. People damage the finish and many times their decorations fall into the public hallway (what ch I have witnessed) when they go inside their cabin causing a possible falling hazard in the hallway. Thank you for your review.

We were on the Jade in September and we enjoyed it. We like the free at sea offer. We prefer NCL over RC.

We have never felt nickle and dimed on NCL. Quite the opposite, normally we get off the ship with a bill of 0 to $25. Sorry you did not enjoy the cruise.

Research would have revealed that NCL does not allow door decorations. Research would have revealed that bottled water is not included in the Ultimate Drink Package. Research would have revealed that the standard gratuity is $20 per passenger per day. Seeing a pattern here? And you claim to have made 45+ cruises? On what? The Staten Island Ferry?
