Review summary

Great itinerary only wish the food was a bit better and ship more updated or use of a newer ship. Still worth the trip.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Embarkation was quick and without issues. Very organized.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food was mediocre at the dining rooms. Service a bit slow. Menu needed to be more creative and dishes more consistent. Buffet was ok but closed at 10:00 pm with only a small area open in the rear of the ship

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Shows were ok but would rate them as b-class. Repeating of 2 acts seemed a way to save $$. We have never experienced this on past cruise even on NCL ships.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Waiters were slow and seemed confused on orders. Room steward started off on a bad note with late service but was excellent there after. Room was cleaned and maintained.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Good size room and bathroom. Closet space and drawers a bit small. TV service lacking. No way to see account on the TV as other ships.

Ports of call

Santorini, Greece

3 out of 5
Expected more at this port from what we saw on line. Would rate the island as over-rated. Excursion was fine. Included food and dish breaking which was fun. Food seemed on the cheap side, serving pork instead of a traditional lamb dish.

Piraeus (Athens), Greece

4 out of 5
Very historical with a great guide on the excursion, which included the museum and Greek seafood lunch.

Mykonos, Greece

4 out of 5
Nice island with great seaside stores and restaurants. Did not do an excursion due to it being canceled by NCL and no others available that were worth doing.

Rhodes, Greece

5 out of 5
Probably the best of the 5 islands visited. Nice port with lots of history and things to do. Excursion was good and informative.

Chania, Crete

4 out of 5
Only a short time in port. Wish it was longer. Walking tour was good but guide had no regard for people that were slower in walking. Should of waited a bit. Don't do this excursion if you have walking difficulties.

Valletta, Malta

3 out of 5
Malta is very nice but a late Sunday arrival finds many of the stores closed. Port should be changed to a weekday if possible.

Messina, Sicily

5 out of 5
Excellent island! Taoromina was beautiful and the winery was a great place to visit.

Naples, Italy

4 out of 5
Great port but the excursion to Sorrento was too short. Could of used more time there and less in Naples.

Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy

4 out of 5
One of our favorite places in Italy. Excursion to Florence was great and the visit t the Tuscan castle interesting and informative. Having a 10 hour excursion on the last day was a bit much. Wish the last day was a sea day to relax after such a active cruise.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
No issues with disembarking. Quick and smooth. Well organized.

Had the same experience with the Food and Dining on the Bliss. Otherwise we really enjoyed our cruise on the Bliss.
