Review summary

Destinations were very good. Accommodations on the ship were good. Food on the ship was ok. I have had better, more tasty food than the food in the main dining room.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
It was raining and there wasn't any covering to get from the cruise terminal to the cruise ship so we got wet.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food was not as good as other cruise lines I have taken. It was ok but not great like others. The fish from the main dining room was not very tasty and was very bland. Chocolate desserts tasted like sandy grit and not smooth or as flavorful as others I have tried.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Fitness center was good. Outdoor jogging track was also good.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Excellent stage shows.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Waiters were very good. Assistant maiter'd was also very good and accommodating. Room steward was not so good. He had to be told to clean our room in a timely manner. Some days the room was not cleaned until after 2:30pm.

Cabin / Stateroom

Size and comfort were very good. Balcony view was excellent. Some areas were not so clean though.

Ports of call

Santorini, Greece

3 out of 5
Had an excursion but was not impressed with the island given the pictures I had seen. Went to Oia but it was so crowded that had a hard time walking around and getting the views.

Piraeus (Athens), Greece

4 out of 5
Had excursion to the museum and also a dinner with entertainment. The dinner was good and the dancing was also very good. However, Athens was dirty and had a lot of graffiti on the walls of the buildings.

Mykonos, Greece

4 out of 5
Took a walking tour which was interesting and informative. Island was beautiful but it was way too crowded.

Rhodes, Greece

4 out of 5
Took a tour of the old town area and the monastery which was very good. However, it was also very crowded.

Chania, Crete

3 out of 5
Port was beautiful but did not have enough time to view anything interesting. Tour guide was very informative. We went to a market which was good. But did not see anything interesting due to the shortness of the time there.

Valletta, Malta

3 out of 5
Took the Hop-on/Hop-off bus. Since it was a Sunday, many of the places were closed. So, we only had a few stops. Too much driving without any stops due to things being closed.

Messina, Sicily

4 out of 5
Went to Taormina which was beautiful but did not have much time to look around. It was very crowded.

Naples, Italy

4 out of 5
Went to Sorrento and Pompeii. Tour guide was very good and informative. But did not have enough time in Sorrento which was beautiful.

All of the ports are crowded because these are popular tourist destinations. You need to expect this when you cruise. Normally there are other cruise ships in port too.
