Book your shows and/or dining as soon as you board the ship on one of the multiple touch screens located throughout the ship. The shows fill up fast

Bring cash! You have to use an ATM that charges almost $6.00. I don't mind losing money at the tables or machines but I'll be damned if I'll pay $6.00 to get money to do it. I was on a cruise (different line) 4 months ago and just went to the cashier to get money, no charge. You missed out on a lot of my money this trip, I didn't gamble.

I missed dining at the same table each night, with the same people. If you like that traditional service, don't do freestyle.

The fish on the carpets in the hallways of the cabins face forward of the ship! Also, you can use a card of any sorts to stick into the slot of the power source like a rewards card or similar, just remember to turn off the power when not in the room to conserve power for other usage on the ship. Also if you get a balcony and never been in one before, be careful when opening the front door of your cabin if you have the balcony door open. It will slam shut and they are metal.

This ship has a few good entertaining shows and a strong mix of upcharge restaurants. The casino smoke is pervasive on decks 6 and 7. The Atrium and customer service area are a noisy mess. There are not enough pools or hot tubs. There is not enough shade devices/area on the lido deck. The adults only area is sunburn city.

Lots of people on this ship so areas seemed crowded quite often. Seems like we had to pay extra for things we haven't had to before on other ships. We have been on many cruises but would not cruise on this ship or NCL again. It stops at it's own private island but you have to pay for everything there....food, drinks, ziplines, etc. Pool was free.

Casual cruising is the only way to go, atleast for us. If you prefere to dress up for dinner and have specific dine times this may not be for you. We love it and will probly stick with Norwegian if for the service and nothing else.

Don’t. Way too crowded. Never any seating. Specialty restaurant always booked and the shows as well.

If you are looking for a nice spot to relax early in the morning, the sugarcane bar on the waterfront is a great place. They put out coffee and fresh pastries each morning.

If you're looking to get a drink, take note of the time of day, as certain bars are more crowded at certain times than others. We usually found bar 21 to be less busy, and after 10pm, behind it is club Bliss, which starts out slow, and up until around midnight, it's usually not too crowded.

Don’t expect good surf and turf, or any one refilling coffee in the breakfast buffet area or any bar service by the pool. This was very disappointing on the ship.

This was my last NCL cruise because of the rude service. I guess if someone is hell bent on cruising the Getaway they should just get the cheapest room and go in with low expectations. This trip was a cost to my family of about 7k. We regret spending the money.

Only book the penthouse, or big suites. You will need your own balcony to lay out on. People hog all the the chaise lounges, and keep there towels and bags on them all day.
