There was never seating. No matter what time you went to eat at any of the specialty or dining rooms. They were always booked and had no seating

Everything was way to crowded. People kept saving seats by the pool but never came back to sit on them. The lines for the other on board activities were extremely long or not even open

All the shows were booked way before we even got on the ship.

Barley saw any staff. I believe we saw our room steward a handful of times. There was never any staff in the entrances to the dining rooms.

Again there was no room for anyone to sit for any of the activities they had in the atrium or any of the other places. If you are going to have activities on a very big ship with a lot of people you need to offer more then one session a day and make it so that everyone gets a chance to participate or watch

Don’t. Way too crowded. Never any seating. Specialty restaurant always booked and the shows as well.

Florida was great but we arrived into port late, took almost 2 hours for our ship to be cleared so we could leave the ship and our excursion closed 30 mins after we arrived and everything in the place was closed. Very disappointed

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas

Never made it off the boat. Apparently no one ever leaves the boat in this island. Why have it on our itinerary if you aren’t ever gonna let people off to explore the island

Sorry to read the poor ratings on this ship, it served me well a great many times. What can we say about Great Stirrup Cay seems to be a fantom stop just placed on the Itinerary as a filler. I think we make it there twice since 2009. And yes you are right about the venues being held in locations way to small and over crowded. Don't forget about the chair hogs, a-hole people that place a book and a towel at 0700 then disappear until 1500, then come back for a 15 minute sit down. That happens on all the cruise lines, believe me, I have done them all. NCL is in my top two of my favorite cruise lines, take note your experience WILL BE different from everyone else so cruise with an open mine and make your complaints in writing when they happen to the Hotel Director so his office can address your concerns then you can get on with your hard earned and much needed vacation. Enjoy your next cruise.

Thistimeplease - I too experienced the same gripes. Towels saving lounge chairs I agree with you, that’s every ship. Seeing kids in the adult hot tubes is also frustrating but I wouldn’t knock NCL for these things. Just shake my head. However, certain dinning options such as the complimentary noddle bar, comedy shows, escape the big top entertainment, etc. You were not able to reserve 90 days prior. I was also not able to reserve with app on ship once onboard. I had to physically walk to box office and the noodle bar for reservations. Frustrating as the lines are/were long. Huge let down for the ship to skip Great Stirrup Cay their private island. It was the main reason my party booked this cruise ship and picked that itinerary. And to later read reviews that it is a common occurrence and also overhear fellow passengers complain that they didn’t get a chance to visit this planned port last cruise as well is super concerning and very frustrating. On top of waiting hours on hours to embark and disembark this ship. I will not be booking with NCL in future!

It's sounds like you didn't make any reservations before you got onboard. You can make reservations online at aporox 90 days out. Chair Hogs are always a issue on most cruise lines but after a certain amount of time you can get a attendant to remove items from unoccupied chairs. Sorry you didn't enjoy your cruise but sounds like you didn't do any research before you embarked.

We've sailed with Norwegian on Mega Ships and have never had a problem finding dining. May have had to wait 15 minutes, but that's it. We love NCL, but have never sailed any other cruise line. Guess if I ever have a cruise like you just described, I'd change to a different line.
