over all the cruise went well we had some bad weather ( no fault of the ship ). i went on the same cruise last year and this one was 100% better . food still could be a little more high end but very good . ship i clean and safe service is good with a couple exceptions ether way from excellent to fair. ports are great fun . we will definitely cruise again with Norwegian.

I would not choose NCL again. Too may issues. A lot of people complaining.

Norwegian falls short on entertainment on the ship. Royal Caribbean has parades and entertainment all day long. Game shows do not do the trick

There was a lot to do and the cruise was fun. Probably will opt for a different type of vacation in the future.

Great trip, excellent entertainment and delicious food, but NCL needs to hire more staff, waiting for an hour and a half to be served at the restaurants is unacceptable.

The places we stopped were beautiful. At st.martten we had our snorkel gear stoen, very disappointing because it seemed safe due to the fact we were on a small beach in front of a resort. Overall the food in dining rooms was decent but buffet was mediocre at best. The only thing to eat after 9pn was at O' Sheehan's and it was also mediocre. We cr uised with NCL 6 years ago and it was much better than this time.

This is a fun boat with lots of options. Pros: * Great Staff * Great performances * lots of stuff to do Cons * Really for experienced Cruisers * newbies need to do a lot of planning to get a good experience. * guest to staff ratio was way off ( not enough staff )

Was the worst boat ive been on. The food wasnt good, the entertainment was not good. Food selection was not to great. I think u should have more chicken and beef at the aisan station, no minced pork. Always seemed like no one ate it. Most employees were rude, only handful were nice. Some were pushy. Rooms were good and room attended.

We had a beautiful experience. The crew were all hard working and extremely accommodating.

The 2nd at sea day was a little rough. My husband isn't usually seasick so he didn't wear a patch or take Dramamine and ended up too nauseous to enjoy anything on the 2nd day. He wore a patch behind his ear the remaining time, as did I and we both were fine the rest of the trip. We recommend start wearing them the moment you board so you can enjoy the entire trip. The cruise had so many great shows and entertainment you won't want to miss any time enjoying what the ship has to offer. Service was great everywhere we went!

Bermuda stop canceled. Food was a average. Thermal spa was great. Most relaxed i have been im years. Great family time. Husband got the flu. Room steward good. Buffet chaotic a and gross

This was the most disappointing cruise we’ve been on. Nothing interesting for 21-40 year olds beyond bars, food was uninspired, internet access was awful with many sites blocked, food was mediocre, and often times not hot. Overall a disappointing experience.

We enjoyed our cruise because one makes the best of things they have no comtrol over and we shared our cruise with friends. Personally would not do a NCL cruise again due to lack of service and changes in the services offered. No lobster night, nothing special done for Valentines Day and service was poor overall compared to our last NCL cruise.

We've done many Caribbean cruises and the GetAway is a fine ship, with quality staff and exciting fellow passengers. We'll probably be on it again.

If your main goal is to head to warmer weather without having to drive yourself everywhere along the way, the cruise is good. Entertainment was decent, food was ok, but be careful about which excursions you book. Try to find reviews from other websites about similar excursions to be sure you are not misled or disappointed. I hate to say this, but if you want a lounger anywhere in the pool area you may need to do what many others do - get up early, put towels on your lounger(s) and show up when you are ready. There were MANY chairs with towels attached, that remained devoid of any occupancy for over an hour. Norwegian does not enforce their 15 minute policy when it comes to unoccupied loungers, which is unfortunate for those of us who just want a half hour or hour of chair time. If you are looking for fine dining, it will come at a price for a premium restaurant (Cagney's, Ocean Blue, etc.) Food in the main dining rooms is just ok. The lines to wait for entry to the ship restaurants can be very long. Even if you have reservations, you have to wait in the line with everyone else. Staff was friendly and accommodating for the most part. with a couple of outstanding folks who went above and beyond for us. Bermuda should be clearly listed as a "potential stop" as it is cancelled frequently during January and February sails.

Cruise was excellent wished we had stopped in Bermuda, buffet was good wish they had different menus during the week, choices were always the same. Complimentary dining was good but menu needs to change they offered chicken, steak, fish but recipes need to be better, enjoyed specialty dining in Teppanyaki but Bistro menu needs to be better, not what I expected. Overall had a great cruise.

We weren't as happy this time with Norwegian in general for several reasons. We'd probably stick with Celebrity and maybe try Royal Caribbean or back on Carnival again if we travel with our family.

If this is going to be the best cruise lines can do then I guess our family will have to find another way to vacation.. This was not pleasant, especially for those that have experience cruising and know what it was like before. The only way to get around the hassle of everything onboard the Getaway would be to upgrade to the “Haven” which is 3-4 times the price! No way I would pay that much for an NCL cruise, there are MUCH better lines for that $$! If you like good food, service, and a relaxing experience stay far away from the Getaway! This was the loudest ship ever, and it rides like a canoe. We have been on much smaller ships and much rougher waters and this ship rocks like crazy even in calm waters. Most nights I could not sleep on my side due to the incessant rocking. It may seem as though we are just to hard to please, but honestly we were blown away by this cruise and how pathetic NCL was. The buffet on this ship is very very large..that being said they limit the availability to get silverware and plates?? They claimed it was for sanitary reasons but they didn’t have an explanation of how that helps when everyone is self serving themselves with the same tongs and serving ware? And while the food was subpar you will unfortunately have to eat there on occasion because of the unavailability of main dining room and restaurants. The food never really changed in the buffet and though the buffet is quite large it’s just the same food repeated throughout. 2.9 rating is higher than it deserves…also no walking deck

The boat felt a little understaffed, the issues with the Thermal Suite were disappointing, the dining room waits seemed excessive and the compensation for the missed port, Bermuda, which was the primary reason we booked this cruise and traveled to NY, was almost a joke.

Mediocrity in food and service but excellent activity so it keeps my wife happy NCL.
