Reserved at the last minute... but still got a very nice upgrade because of our membership in the Lattitudes past guest rewards program. Great itinerary and value The boat is modern and well maintained . Plenty of common space and fun nightlife.

Specialty restaurant Cagney's was HORRID, Had the WORST Prime Rib ever! Ocean Blue and Teppanyaki were both good. Cagney's Garden Cafe was OK. Open dining at Savor's had horrible steak ... over cooked and tough. Only saving grace was beverage package and having friends & family with us. Having to make reservations for shows AND in some cases an additional fee is in POOR taste, so did not attend any.

Personally, as a seasoned traveler, I would recommend paying a little more upfront for a smaller ship, one that treats you more like a valued customer. The larger the ship, the less personal the experience.

Awesome cruise!! Met some wonderful people, had great service and entertainment. Good food and drinks. Amazing experience in Honduras. Loved it!!!

I have cruised many times in my life. 12+. This cruise was probably my least favorite experience. The layout of the ship is difficult as there is no way to sit at the pool to supervise your child. The staff tried their best to keep up but frankly were understaffed. The managers just watched them all struggle to keep up. One of our best waiters did our entire dinner alone. No kitchen runner, no bus boy, no wine sommelier. And the manager just came by to say hi and check in. The specialty dinners were tasty and staffed well but apparently that is the ONLY priority on this ship. There is really little to no recognition of loyalty on any NCL cruises. A bottle of sparkling wine and a note is hardly worth the status we have earned. There really is NO PRIORITY for embarkation or disembarkation with our status on this ship either. The rooms were TINY. TINY balcony, NO storage, barely any walking room. It was my husband, myself and my 3 year old and it was SO crowded. It was supposed to be a family room. I couldn't have imagined it with 2 kids who were older. It did not feel like a mega ship. It just felt like a more crowded smaller ship. Really not more public space, just a poor layout and twice as many cruisers. You feel like cattle everywhere you go. The cruise director was obnoxious and made poor announcements. No one had a clue as to what was going on. AND WHAT HAPPENED TO FREESTYLE CRUISING?!!??! You NEED reservations for EVERYTHING. Which is ridiculous. The disembarkation was horrible. Smallest facility I've ever seen for one of the biggest ships. Our bags were in the 'back room'. The line to get off of the ship was horrible. Took forever. Again, no priority like we are supposed to get and fussy staff. Back to the staff. They were all working so hard and were trying to be friendly but you could tell they were all pissed. Probably because the managers sit around and talk to each other. They offer no help. Their job is literally to be chatty. There were not enough people ACTUALLY working. The ports were mostly NCL money makers. No authenticity and we won't be going back. Roatan was the best port, but it has changed so much since I went on my first cruise with NCL. This was my worst cruise experience overall. The only positives IMO were being on a cruise... the slides and a pirate pool which my son loved.

Not happy at all with the Norwegian getaway cruise .

We always have a good time on a cruise, and this was no exception. We do prefer smaller boats, but having the larger broadway level production shows is a benefit. We do enjoy NCL for the Freestyle Dining.

Nice ship, good entertainment and excellent staff. We enjoyed this ship but would probably try another one if we choose to go Norwegian again. The cruise director and assistant could be obnoxious at times. Ship needs some attention. Theatre chair arm fell off and I lost a whole drink to the floor. Carpet in room was badly stained with something red. Room ported never showed up at all one day. There is room for improvement.

We went with a group and we all had a great time. We could do as much or as little as you wanted. We all ate dinner together and it had great time!

overall good. although, they should allow small travel irons, as they allow flat irons for the hair which they get just as hot!

We love the NCL Getaway (this was our 2nd time). It is a great ship with many amenities. The staff are amazing! There were a few more kids on board this time than last, but overall we had a great time!

The cruise was a good cruise. It was a first for my parents and my brother and sister. It was a good cruise to get them started on. Lots of activities and stuff to do on board.

This is our 4th Norweigan cruise and I would rank it near the bottom. The ship was ok and Belize was a bust as a port of call.

NORWEGIAN GETAWAY WAS PERFECT FOR MY HUSBAND AND ME. IT WASN'T TOO LITTLE OR TOO MUCH TO DO. WE WANTED TO BE ABLE TO RELAX, NO RUSH, NO MILLION THINGS TO RUN TO... AND THAT IS EXACTLY HOW IT WENT. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOAT AND ITINERARY. THE TWO EXTRA DAYS AT SEA DAYS WERE THE PERFECT BLEND TO THE DAYS OF TOURING. I LIKED IT SOO MUCH, I WOULD DO THIS SAME CRUISE ALL OVER AGAIN.

The cruise was excellent. The big disappointment was the dress code, there isn't any. People in the dining area(not the buffet) dressed in cut off jean shorts and graphic t-shirts.

Overall it was good, I liked a lot of things about the cruise including that the seas were calm. If I book another cruise I will not book to the Caribbean as it is very similar to my city in Florida. I do not know if I would book with NCL again, I think I will may try Royal Caribbean instead. I have a friend who advised me to book Royal C as they book it exclusively. I have a relative who raved about NCL cruise to Cuba so we booked with NCL because we thought we had what we wanted at the best price.

Had a bad experience with Margaritaville. Had to wait 2hrs for a burger and a beer. Not happy. Way to many children ,1700 in all on a NEW YEAR'S EVE cruise. Not cool. But on a happy note....... The Ice Bar was great, Million Dollar Quartet was amazing , what talent there was there , Burn the Floor dancers awesome and the comedian Dylan also hilarious. If I had to rate our experience it would be 50/50. I would not go Western Caribbean in January again. I love the sun and enjoy spending hot days laying out on the deck. We did have some fun and when we did we did a lot of laughing

We had a really nice time. The ship was nice. We got the drink package as part of their pick your perk promotion. If we had purchased it, it wouldn't have been a good value for us, but it was convenient. I recommend it. The entertainment was top notch, take time to see each of them. The ports we visited were also very nice but make sure you choose a nice long excursion at Costa Maya because there really isn't much to the shopping village. I do not think we will cruise Norwegian again unless the price is really low. I could deal with the bland food but despite discounts and such, you still pay a lot to take a cruise and want to feel a bit special or at least welcomed. As stated earlier, I appreciate that the cruise line wants to be family friendly, but then either exclusively cater to family (like Disney) or make or adult only spaces and enforce the adults only activities you do have.

The cruise was spectacular, with many activities and clubs for the children. The food was amazing, especially at Taste and Savor. There was a variety of food at the Garden Café buffet. Our steward cleaned our room twice a day. The views were amazing. I would definitely take this cruise again sometime soon.
