Overall, amazing experience and a vacation of a lifetime. We really enjoyed what the ship had to offer and all of the ports. Would highly recommend!

Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Main dining food quality and selection was just ok, but we were impressed with the proactive attention and consideration for dietary restrictions. Buffet lunch was just ok as well, but breakfast and dinner were good. We ate at the Moderna Brazilian steakhouse restaurant and Teppanyaki for specialty dining and both were excellent. We also liked that O'Sheehan's and the American Diner restaurants were included.
The upgrade to Free at Sea Plus was amazing - best drink package at sea!
Onboard Activities

Pool area and bars were nice, the Million Dollar Quartet show was amazing (we actually went to see it twice!). Loved the sports bar O'Sheehans and the pool, darts, and bowling activities. Fitness Center was nice as well.

Ship Quality

The ship layout was very easy to navigate and made sense. Everything was clean and well-maintained. The decor was also updated an beautiful.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
A little small for a suite, but we were hardly in the room. It was clean, but other cruise lines replace towels twice daily and our stateroom attendant did not. With the heat of the day, we found ourselves needing to shower in the morning and again after our excursions/before dinner, so not having fresh towels was inconvenient.
Ship tip
Consider upgrading the drink package if you like higher end wines and liquors. Try the specialty dining. Self-disembarkation is always the best way to go.
We spent two days in Barcelona and toured the Sagrada Familia basilica and Park Guell - both were excellent. Shopping and walking through La Rambla street was also great. The city is so clean and the architecture is breathtaking.
We did a guided tour of the Vatican, St Peter's Basilica, and the Sistine Chapel - if you haven't yet been here, it's a must and an unforgettable experience. The city of Rome itself was crowded and dirty though.
We did a tour of the Amalfi Coast and Pompeii and it was excellent. The City of Naples seemed somewhat dirty and run down, but we didn't spend much time there exploring.
Beautiful port and island. We really enjoyed our walking tour of the city and had an amazing dinner at a restaurant with the most beautiful views of the island and windmills.
Easy to disembark, but finding a taxi or an Uber at the port in Athens was an adventure. THe first two Uber drivers who accepted our ride didn't show up, so we walked about a mile and were able to hail a taxi from the street.
Wow just wow!!! You had a great itinerary along with a wonderful cruise.
I'm glad you had the chance to see these countries as it might be once in a lifetime, but never say never.
Million DQ was fantastic as I saw it on the Escape in 2019 and Absolutely one of the best shows with lots of great songs.
We've cruised with NCL many times on 11 ships. Southward retired and sold. Scrapped in 2013, Spirit, Crown retired and sold, Majesty retired and sold, Jewel, Dawn, Gem, Breakaway, Sun, Escape and Getaway.
We've been to so many wonderful places even more than once.
As far as cleaning the cabin, yes in the AM and you can ask for a few extra set of towels when you see your cabin attendant. We do that. It makes it so much easier. If you need more towels, go to the lido deck we here they have the towels and ask for some. You can use it for taking a shower and just hang it to dry. Do not forget to put it in the shower so the cabin attendant can take it and bring it to the laundry department.
Again, happy Cruising.
Wonderful itinerary! Unfortunately, many cruise lines have gone to once a day room cleaning. You can request extra towels if you think you may need them.
We did the Getaway in the Mediterranean and loved it, too.
