Something that really bothered me was that I had the Unlimited Open Bar Package. It says in the drinks package you get Grey Goose vodka. (see picture) NCL didn't honor it.
I asked for robes and they would only give me on 1.
I never got my bottle of wine for being in a club suite balcony.
I was also supposed to get early time to book excursions. NCL canceled my excursion to Pompeii and then when I asked to go on another pompeii excursion they didn't have room. I missed going there and it was one of the excursions i wanted to do the most.
They took away one of our days in Istanbul.
I just don't like having some of the best food in the world with eye shot and then not have time to eat there because of short ports of calls and then have to eat the sub par food on the boat.
Also the drinks package isn't worth it. If it was at night I would have to go to a bar and get a coke in a purposely smaller glassware.
they are constantly trying to upsell you on things. Buy photos and and spa treatments.
is saying I am giving this a 3.9 rating. I would give it a 3.3/5 rating if I could override their rating that they say I am giving.
The hairdresser kept asking my gf when she was retiring. How insulting.
Embarkation

I paid extra and the embarkation was fine. But I waited until the last minute to get on boat anway and think I didnt need the prioirty.

Garden Cafe (buffet) was horrible. It was hospital cafeteria quality.
The Ocean Blue was C+
Tepenyaki the Shrimp was good, but I didn't care for the NY Strip
Moderno was what you'd expect from an above average churrascaria
I actually thought the Taste and Savor were decent for being free.
I had breakfast at O'Sheehans and the scrambled eggs were atrocious. Inedible.
The American Cafe up on floor 16 was B+
Onboard Activities

I didn't do the water slides or the ropes. I didn't go to the fitness center. There wasn't much else to do on board the ship.
Entertainment

I liked Millionaire Quartet. Although it went on a little too long. The Burn the Floor show I didn't find a bunch of guys dancing together entertaining. They were talented dancers. The music didn't seem to fit the style of dance. Stairway to Heaven??
Service and Staff

The staff are very hard working and excellent. I tipped them extra because the cheap cruise companies don't pay them well.
Ship Quality

The ship was very clean. The loungers on the balcony had bird crap all over them. There was a cigarette but on the deck.
Cabin / Stateroom

I had an oversized Balcony which was good. I think it made cabin smaller. There wasn't a lot of space to put our clothes. Bathroom was decent. TV setup was archaic. I couldn't get my HDMI cable in the back of TV to play movies from my laptop.
Ship tip
Get the Beach Vibe Club and avoid the crowds on Floor 15 Pool area. The loungers have cushions and they have umbrellas
Cruise ship took a day away from us. I had to move my excursion to the next day and wasn't able to go in the mosques on friday. The port of call wasn't log enough.
The riff raff? You’re right I definitely think mainstream cruise lines are not for you! Pompeii excursion being cancelled must have been disappointing, but in Naples as soon as you get off the ship there are vendors selling excursions to Pompeii and several other areas, the place is also full of drivers offering to take you anywhere you want to go.
