Review summary

My first and last cruise with Norwegian. And it’s not just me. My friend went on a shorter one a week earlier and told me she couldn’t wait to get off the boat too.

Not too bad. Just cold obviously since it was January. Pretty speedy. No issues. On the boat within 40 minutes

Agree about the haven. It is a wonderful cruise experience. Well worth the cost. I have not seen many complaints from haven guests.

We have always enjoyed NCL. The zipped beds are common on all cruise lines. It has been our experience that Royal has more extra charges than NCL. Sorry your trip did not go well.

We will continue to use NCL for one major reason: the Haven. It is an amazing, quiet and luxurious but not stuffy experience. This is clearly a successful business model for NCL which does seem to be letting some basics like the free restaurants slide to encourage people to buy up to the specialty restaurants. They have to be careful here because if they lose the core cruisers,they lose everything. And the Getaway sounds like it needs a good reno.

As many of my fellow cruise mates know I have been a super huge fan and promoter of NCL. The past experiences have been more than satisfactory and I try to filter out all negativity. But with resent overwhelming negativity myself and my family are looking into different cruise lines for our future cruises including for this year. Even lots of bloggers who have been NCLs favorite starting to find NCLs corporate greed going beyond its limits. With sadness in my heart it’s time to take a vacation from NCL vacation. My statements should NOT discourage future cruises on taking NCL vacations just for my family it’s time to try something new. Thank you everyone for sharing their posts. Happy cruising
