Review summary

All cruises are a lot of fun. The ship was full and we were not used to that but it was nice to be back to normal. I estimated that only 2% of the employees and of the passengers wore masks.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
We arrived at the port around 10, our embarkation time was 10:30, we didn't get to board the ship until 11:45.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
They were out of Kahlua on the first day, I spoke with the beverage manager and he found some more but it ended up only being available at some of the bars. Also, they have a drink menu but they don't follow it, for example it would list 1800 tequila but they used well tequila unless you asked for it.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We did the high ropes, waterslides, used the pools. We did the 7 am free stretch class followed by the 7:30 am abs class. Daniel (from South Africa) was an excellent instructor, his classes were full all 12 days.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Million Dollar quartet was great, the only better show I have seen on a ship is Jersey Boys, that was on the NCL Bliss. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the wasn't much of anything in the main theater the other days.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
See above, the dining staff seems like have been given too many tables, their service was slow.

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
Too much of the ship is reserved for the Haven, they need a large open area (observatory) at the front of the ship like the NCL Bliss has.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
It was comfy and QUIET. Our only concern was the balcony seemed small.

Ship tip

As long as you don't need speedy service, you will enjoy it.

Ports of call

New York, New York

4 out of 5
It's nice to sail by the statue of liberty.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

3 out of 5
Been here before, nothing exciting and we were only stayed for about 5 hours.

Basseterre, St. Kitts

5 out of 5
New port for us, a beautiful view where you can see the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea at the same time.

Bridgetown, Barbados

5 out of 5
New port for us, we took a taxi to local beach and paid $30 each to snorkel at a ship wreck and see some small Sea turtles.

Castries, St. Lucia Did not visit port

Not sure, went to Dominica instead which was nice as well.

St. John's, Antigua

4 out of 5

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

3 out of 5
Did a ship double snorkeling excursion, they parked the catamaran too far from the sunken ship, it was too much swimming for some. I made it but didn't see as many fish as I hoped. When we got to the turtle location, I saw only two very small turtles.

Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic Did not visit port

Went to Aber Cove instead which was nice as there was a pool with plenty of free lounge chairs.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We got lucky, the line we were standing in on deck 7 was picked to be one of the first lines to exit the ship. Customs just had us look into a camera and told us we could leave, no questions of any kind.
