The Gem is a smaller ship than the Breakaway. It doesnt have as much space, but it is a clean ship with nice amenities.

Take time and explore the ship. We almost missed some of the wonderful bars.

Make sure you bring your passport. Never assume that because you are cruising, you have eliminated any chance that you may be flying at some point during the duration of your trip.

Be prepared to wait and wait for elevators; don't expect to disembark in an orderly fashion; get your elbows ready if eating in the buffet, people like cut in line and push.

Be sure to check out the Great Outdoor bar and eating area as it is the best place on the ship. Beauiful to see the sunset as well as to meet old friends or to make new ones.

Best shot at a poolside lounge chair is when in port/when you get back on the ship before it leaves port.
