The cruise was wonderful, we sailed on the Gem and previously on the Dawn, I thought the Dawn was a nicer ship, both ships were very similar in a lot of ways but I thought the Dawn was nicer

The ship was well designed and the staff were always around willing to help. There were always a variety of activities going on including art shows, bingo, game shows, etc.

The Gem itself was a very nice ship. Kept very well and the staff were all very friendly.

Pool area too small. Shared bAthrooms were always out of toilet paper.

The ship was clean and in good condition. They charge you for everything including water. Charging for drinks when you are gambling in a casino is border line criminal. The change in the itinarey really put a damper on the trip only 4 hours in Universal Studios. The specialty restaurants were terrible except for the Brazilian Steakhouse. After being told that we could were dress shorts to Le Bisto by the reservation desk do to it being slow we were told to go change by the host, when we got inside there were several people with jeans and t-shirts. Cagney's steakhouse was horrendous, waited 45 minutes for a water at the table. Finally this was advertised as a Nickelodeon Cruise which is a complete joke they had some small activities for kids and showed up once a day for arts and crafts for a half hour.

Overall, the ship was great. enough common areas to go to, activities were importatnt since relaxing on the sundecks was not an option due to the poor weather.

The ship is beautiful there is alot to do on board.The food was not the best.An house keeping for our room kept the room clean.personalatie not so great.Over all I would sail this again.

I loved everything about the boat

The ship was very clean and fun. Our room was kept spotless by our steward.

The ship was extremely clean. The staff was excellent. Our suite was beautiful! The one concern/observation we had was - we did not purchase a beverage plan. We had iced tea or lemonade with our meals. We noticed that only one restaurant would give us refills without asking.

This was our second cruise on the Norwegian Gem and they have improved much in the 18 month since our first trip with them. The cruise director, Sinan, was our favorite ever! He was full of energy and kept us laughing. The first time we cruised on the Gem they had issues with disembarkation and we waited in line for 2 hours. Whatever was the trouble last time they certainly fixed it and we sailed right through the process (although we really wanted to turn around and get right back on). It was a wonderful time. We would have liked a little longer in port in Florida so that we could have stayed at Disney for a little longer.

Ship needs to be touched up as wear and tear is showing throughout. Our cabin was not clean (even after having a second cleaning done). Finding underclothing in cupboards and flip flops, dirt and other items under the bed was disapponting and unacceptable. Mirrors were dirty, bathroom had a foul smell. Surprise of an additional $12.00 per day/per person service charge may have been more acceptable if the room had been clean (at a minimum). Coupons and offers given were not honored (or at least not without a long debate).

Waiters were mean didnot give you time of day. Compared to Carnival, dinners should be together..6or 8 pm serve all the same food with choices everyday not have to pay for them. Did not like the entertainment, was told we could celebrate our anniversay they would give us a cake upon giving them a card i received, never happened. Not organized at all!

I recently sailed on the NCL Gem. The ship was very clean. Our cabin was roomy and comfortable.

Overall, a great experience...staff is fantastic, shows are wonderful, food was average and sometimes slightly below...overall a large selection of food but quality is lacking.

The ship was very clean!!! The set up of the ship was great. Our Children loved the teen program. There was plenty of places on the ship for the teens to go and be teenagers. Dining room service was very slow and you needed to go right at 6:00pm or there was an hour wait.

This was my 5th cruise, first on NCL and I would definitely return and recommend!

I really didn't like it cost too much money !!!
