Even though it was a few rainy days, I still enjoyed my time on the cruise ship. Watching the shows, activities, playing in the casinos, enjoying the drinks, and having a good time with the crew members and spending time with my family was worth my while.

Took my Mum on the Nowegian Gem to the Bahamas for her 60th birthday and it was an absolutely phenomenal experience. The quality of the food was great and delicious. The wait staff and crew members were so friendly, helpful and prompt with their services. And their bright smiles every morning made for an excellent cruise experience. I had very high expectations and Nowegian definitely exceeded all of them. Many thanks to Shane C., Ricardo L, I Gedde, I Made, Karen, Nazly and all the very amazing staff and crew members we encountered.

If you can afford the extra, take Carnival instead for the experience of being waited on while sun bathing and also for a different menu every evening in the dining hall.

The attention, service, and entertainment were great. In terms of food, I wish there were more vegan options.

We decided to go on a cruise to celebrate out 10th wedding anniversary. We invited family as they had never cruised before. We had a great time being together along with 3 kids ages 5 and 3. The food was good and had variety. We didnt like that if you wanted a snack late at night there was nothing to eat. Everything shuts down at 11:30. If youre the type that likes to drink and hit the clubs or bars and want something to eat after your night, there isnt anything open. On embarkation day we received a call from the perspective studios and were told we were selected for a complimentary family photo shoot. Since it was formal night the next day they chose that day for the shoot. We agreed and took some great pictures with my husband and son (age 3). Few days later we went down to review the photos and they showed us all the pictures in this wonderful slideshow with music! Once it was time to select pictures to get them ordered we were so depressed that they would have the nerve to charge $1799 for pictures! I nearly almost fell off my chair! It cost us that to cruise for the week! This is robbery! How could they even present these prices. Then they wanted to charge 400 for 1 picture! We opted not to order anything and it was a complete waste of time! Never again. On the boat there isn't much to do for kids. My son went down the water slide and got stuck because there is not water pressure. I saw a few moms have to climb up the slide to get their kids out. the rock climbing wall was closed the entire time we were there. Would had been great if it was open, would had given us something else to do while at sea. We used the basketball court often with the kids to burn off energy. Would had been better if there was more variety of balls to play with. We sent the kids to Splash academy 1 night and my 5 yr old Nephew was bored after 2 hours and my son lost interest also. My niece who is 3 seemed to like it but she isnt with kids often and enjoys being around anyone her age.

It was amazing! We got more than we expect it, which it was a pleasant surprised.

Our cruise on the Norwegian Gem was wonderful. The staff was stellar, the food was incredible, the ship was beautiful, and the entertainment was amazing. Thanks for a fantastic experience.

the Chinese food and Asian food on board are not good at all, it is a shame there are so many Asian population taking cruise nowadays. They definitely should improve the Asian food. There should be more variety for breakfast, same breakfast everyday is very bored. Others are fair and good. Won't come back to Gem.

First day was bad food and reduced restaurant No food to room

Our cruise was very relaxing and enjoyable. We can't wait to go back on an NCL cruise. Emily from was wonderful to work with. We will be sure to contact Emily the next time we are planning to cruise.

The cruise was great. There were not that many activities for children or shows. Mainly it was for adults/older adults. We had a teenager who was little disappointed due to lock of activities for her age group.

I was utterly disgusted at people openly smoking marijuana in the outdoor bar, and having to walk a child through the smoke. Despite the negative incidents he wonderful staff made it a great holiday.

Beginning of my cruise, the Fitness Center experience, put a bad taste in my mouth and made a point to avoid the one staff man.

All in All we had a good time. Wish wheelchair issues werent a problem. By this I mean, issues with cabin, issued with public handicapped bathroom and navigating certain areas of the ship. We loved our excursion to St. Lucia, Bay Gardens Resort and I loved the Island Splendor excursion on Barbados. I cant say that I would use NCL again.

my floor - 8 smelled bad. toilet didn't flush two separate times during the cruise... (the whole floor) got my daughter on "last minute" 5 days before we left, they made me buy a whole other room when my room could hold 3 people... AND they took my ultimate beverage package away, cause the inside room I had to pay $2800 for didn't come with it! WTF Norwegian!

Overall, I would say my husband and I had a very wonderful vacation on the Norwegian Gem. We made lasting friendships on this cruise and made a commitment to meet again on a Norwegian ship in the future.

I have been on a couple of other cruise lines and I really like the "Freestyle dining" of NCL the most. Everything about our trip met our expectations, except for skipping St Thomas. This was an act of nature and not their fault though. Great time with my boyfriend and the couple we traveled with!!!

I was not happy with Norwegian. It was my first cruise with them and I will not be going back. I got really sea sick for the first two days and the restaurant wouldn’t allow my husband to bring my food. On royal they always let us take food back to the room. It was just a miserable experience.
