Review summary

I was utterly disgusted at people openly smoking marijuana in the outdoor bar, and having to walk a child through the smoke. Despite the negative incidents he wonderful staff made it a great holiday.

Queues were long and slow, boarding cards were poor quality - the ink came off

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food was excellent. The garden cafe was lovely, plenty food however some dishes were cold. Grand Pacific dining room was fantastic, the staff were amazing, especially Jenelynne, Carina and Marlon - who arranged for a table to be decorated and a cake for my daughters 4th birthday. Drink was very expensive

Onboard Activities

Pools were good, except the usual battle for sun loungers. Sadly that kids pool is right next to the recycling bins and a child in our party cut his foot on broken glass.

Service and Staff

Our room steward Raymond was awesome, he kept our room spotless, was always around in case we needed anything, decorated our cabin for my daughters 4th birthday. Jenelynne our waitress was amazing, always happy and smiling, nothing was too much trouble, made our daughter feel special everyday. Carina made sure our table and food was perfect. Marlon arranged for our table to be decorated and a cake for our daughters birthday.

Cabin / Stateroom

Our cabin was right above the Stardust Theatre, the noise was horrendous, having a 3 year old child - the noise kept her awake. Having spoken to guest services I was lied too, told they were sailing at full capacity, but staff members told me they were saikaing at 3/4 capacity- another night of being kept awake by horrendous noise, yet more phone calls and a visit to guest services, still no joy! After one final phone call I was told they had a alternative cabin. What had happened to the people in that cabin.......did they get off in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean??? Finally a supposedquiet cabin.....the toilet didn't flush properly, reported to guest services at 3am, who advised us to keep trying to flush..reported again at 7am. Same keep trying to flush - so you want me to take the risk of flushing again and flooding the bathroom with human waste.....I don't think so.

Are you sure . It could have been that they were vaping...vaping gas all different smells, some very nice. BECAUSE drug is a no no. You get kicked off for that.

We had a fellow cruiser arrested and jailed on board till we ported at St Thomas .... Capt got on the intercom and explained the situation to put everybody at ease ...Good call by ncl , you always have one troublemaker to ruin it for everybody ..

Illegal drugs of any type are not tolerated. You should of reported it immediately to the bar tenders. Before booking any cabin most def look at the deck plan. Did you do this? I agree with esm54687 comment. Happy travels

Agree with everyone else.... marijuana would not be tolerated by ship's staff if you had informed them...... the ship being at full capacity doesn't mean all rooms are occupied. The ship is at full capacity when muster stations have maxed out. There may be 30 empty cabins but the lifeboat capacity for that muster station may have been full. You were on an 11 night cruise so its very possible people disembarked because of emergencies, etc and it freed up a room. I see in your profile that you've cruised before so nightclubs and theaters causing nighttime noise shouldn't be a suprise.... a little research on your room location would've solved the Stardust issue..... embarkation operations is not NCL, that is managed by Terminal Operations which is typically contactors hired by the port city....... but on a happier note, I'm glad your daughter had great attention for her 4th birthday!

Drugs is a “no no”. Should have reported this.

You should have reported this to any crew member. Security would have arrested them and turn them over to the police at the next port.
