Review summary

I have been on a couple of other cruise lines and I really like the "Freestyle dining" of NCL the most. Everything about our trip met our expectations, except for skipping St Thomas. This was an act of nature and not their fault though. Great time with my boyfriend and the couple we traveled with!!!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

We did not use the specialty restaurants, but all the rest of the dining was great!

Grand Pacific Main Dining Room

This was our favorite restaurant by far. The menu changed daily, and the service was superior! The waitstaff always remembered our names and our drinks here!

Onboard Activities

Loved the fitness Center and used it almost every day. Didn't swim much, but loved the poolside activities they offered and the contests were a blast. My boyfriend entered two of them and it was hysterical! They were also excellent in the Spa where I had a hot stone massage and a Shellac manicure that were awesome. Even the casino was fun for a little bit each night. I actually ended up winning by the end of the cruise!

Entertainment

We attended 2 shows, our favority being the 70s dancing and music

Children's Programs

Service and Staff

Melita was fantastic as our room steward. I forget the name of the Fitness Center Director but he was awesome as well!

Ship Quality

Excellent, easy to navigate Very clean and always someone trying to make things look nice

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
It was fine for us, as we are on the smaller side and could maneuver around easily. Bed was comfy, and it was always tidy and clean!

Ship tip

The top deck is a nice quiet place to sit outside, if you want to get some sunshine and not be right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of pool activities and noise.

Ports of call

New York, New York

I have been to NYC, but to be there for St Patricks Day was an experience to remember!!!

Fort-De-France, Martinique

This was our least friendly island. We went to a beach by water taxi and enjoyed it there, but the people weren't extremely friendly. It helped if you spoke French. Overall it was good, just not as nice as other ports.

Castries, St. Lucia

Soufriere Volcano tour was amazing Bananas were to die for. Make sure to buy some banana ketchup!!

Basseterre, St. Kitts

By far our favorite, due to the magnificent beach we went to for the day. Lots of bargains to be had in the shopping area near the water taxis. Fun excursion on a speedboat to get over to the beach. For $28/per person it was well worth it. This included the boat ride, two beach chairs, and two welcome rum punches!

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas Did not visit port

Due to inclement weather approaching, the captain decided to get ahead of the storm and we did not stop in St Thomas

Doing self assisted luggage was an excellent idea. We were off the ship within 30 minutes and in a taxi within 45. I highly recommend self assist versus luggage tag "colors" unless you are elderly or unable to move your own luggage. Much faster!!!
