We liked it for we were able to carry our luggage on board ourselves and do the same when we could depart once we docked in Miami. We were able to get off the ship early.

Book the dining packages ahead of boarding. We got an excellent deal on the specialty restaurants. There was a limited amount of the ultimate dining package but it was so worth it

Beware of the smoke in gambling area on Deck 6. There's other dining/entertainment on this level, so you may want to go up/down a level if you don't want to gag while going from one end to other. Yuk.

If you eat at the buffet, take your food to the fwd end of the ship and go downstairs to eat at La Cucina - much quieter! Also, be prepared to walk stairs or wait long times for elevators. I wore my fitbit and averaged 17,000 step a day!

Stay in The Haven. Have dinner at 9 PM and you can enjoy any specialty restaurant without a wait. Go the Howl AT The Moon - dueling piano players that take requests from the audience. It is very enjoyable.

The Epic is HUGE, which is good because you don't keep seeing the same people over and over again. However you will do a lot of walking.

My advice is to get a room near the middle of the ship since it's a really long way from front to back. And make sure you're clear on the type of room you expect.

Pre-book specialty dinners! You can go to the shows more than once. We went to three different Second City Shows and Blue Man Group twice.

The epic is a great ship. The only drawback was not having any space on the side decks to lounge and have a drink or dinner. The only place you could really relax outside was up on the pool decks
