Review summary

We had a wonderful time! This was an experience of a lifetime. The itinerary was so perfect and filled with amazing places. We want to go back to some of these places already. I could do it all over again!

Embarkation

3 out of 5
It was not very organized and the lines were confusing. They didn’t seem to have as many staff members helping with the lines and directing people along as we’ve seen in the past. We had to wait outside in the hot sun for quite a while.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The only reason I’m giving this three stars is for the specialty restaurants. The buffets and main dining room food was terrible. We ate out a lot off the ship and ate at the specialty restaurants as much as possible. Now the drinks were very goods

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We enjoyed the pool and hot tub in the h20 adult only area. The bar was nice and bar tenders were great.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
All of the bands and musicians we heard throughout the ship were great! I can’t remember their names but the band on deck 15 was outstanding people were always on the dance floor. Also the band in the Manhattan room was excellent! We also we caught the comedy show one night and he was really funny!

Children's Programs

We didn’t have any children with us

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All of the waiters were very attentive and the service was just excellent. We had 2 room stewards they both did a very good job also. The bartenders were great! Stop by the one on deck 6 by Starbucks. You will get a comedy show along with great service! Also a shout out to Starbucks staff!! You saved me every day!!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I liked this ship. The common areas were all very well taken care of and it was nice.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The cabin was fine except for the bathroom set up. When you walk in the stateroom to your left is a toilet surrounded by frosted glass. To your right is a shower with frosted glass just outside that is a sink and mirror. There is an ugly curtain you can pull shut to separate the toilet and shower from the rest of the room. I didn’t like this setup at all! The rest of the room was fine. Nice big balcony.

Ship tip

Make reservations early for the specialty restaurants and definitely eat the food in Rome, Naples, Greece, and just every port you can. Enjoy the shows and relax as much as possible. Get a massage! Take every tour you can and learn about these amazing places!! Have fun!

Ports of call

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

5 out of 5
I love Rome! We stayed at the Radisson Blu for 2 days prior to sailing. We took a tour of the Vatican the first day. It was amazing and we aren’t even catholic. Be prepared to walk a lot and there are a lot of steps to take. It’s worth it! Don’t go on Wednesday because the basilica is closed. The second day we took a private tour of the city. It was wonderful!! Eat the food there!!! It’s the best I’ve ever had!!!

Mykonos, Greece

5 out of 5
I was a little disappointed when I got to Mykonos. The water is beautiful but it’s almost like a desert. No greenery just brown. The white houses are pretty and it’s worth seeing. We took a tour and saw a Greek Orthodox monastery and stopped at a cafe for coffee and pastry.

Piraeus (Athens), Greece

5 out of 5
Athens is a big city! We took a tour of the city and the Pantheon along with the museum. A lot of walking and steps! If you’re into Greek mythology then you will really enjoy it. If not then I would suggest finding a beach or just relaxing on the boat maybe.

Santorini, Greece

5 out of 5
We loved Santorini!! It’s beautiful and everything I ever dreamed it would be! Now. You have to tinder off the ship and then wait in line for a cable car to take you to the top . This takes some time. If you have a tour then go to excursions desk on the ship ahead of time and ask to be on the first tinder. We were on the second and we’re still and hour and a half late. They said this is normal and they waited for everyone to get there. So.. to get off the island you can walk down, ride donkeys, or ride the cable cars. We elected to ride the cable cars. It took us two and a half hours to get back to the ship. The people we talked to that walked down told us how difficult it was, slippery, uneven, etc. people fell and broke bones, twisted ankles and got concussions. No thanks! Just be prepared for a long line to get down. I shopped along the way while my husband waited in line. Not too bad!

Katakolon (Olympia), Greece

5 out of 5
This port I was so mad about because we were supposed to go to Corfu and the changed it at the last minute. It turned out to be a very pretty and interesting place with great shopping! Their agricultural is amazing. We took a little train the the town and it was very nice. There is winery there also. It’s worth taking the time to see.

Valletta, Malta

5 out of 5
Try to be watching when you pull into port here. It looked like we were pulling into a sandcastle in the middle of the sea. Malta was so pretty. We took a HOHO tour through the ship and it was a cluster. Very unorganized. Once we got to the ancient city we took a carriage ride through and it was great! Worth every penny! It was so beautiful and interesting! You can do some research and find tours. Malta is a beautiful and interesting place.

Messina, Sicily

5 out of 5
We took a blue grotto tour here and it was so beautiful! I didn’t know so many movies had been shot there. We went into town and had lunch and shopping. We had a wonderful day!!

NAPLES (POMPEII), ITALY

5 out of 5
One of my favorite! We took a small group tour up the amalfi coast! It was amazingly beautiful! We. Saw where the Godfather was made and some James Bond movies and more. The mountains and the sea are just amazing and the small little towns along the way are just incredible!

Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy

5 out of 5
We took a 10 hour tour to Florence and Pisa. We saw all the beautiful sculptures and churches. The David and so much more! We had lunch ina beautiful hotel with beautiful artwork and chandeliers. Then we went to Pisa. It was very interesting and we got some funny pictures too! Great day!

Disembarkation
