Review summary

Ports great The noisiest ship I’ve ever been on. (29 cruises). Food in included eateries sometimes good, other times cold and appeared to have been prepared hours before. My favorite breakfast item was berries but these ran out half way into the cruise.

Embarkation

Lines and average of 2 hour wait to board.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The main restaurant was hit or miss. Food and service inconsistent.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Best fitness center I’ve ever seen. Pools overcrowded and water was cloudy. I couldn’t overcome concerns about probable high bacterial counts so I didn’t use them, nor the hot tubs.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Great shows, however the volumes was turned up so loud, it was vibrating the speakers and painful to the ears.

Children's Programs

No children

Service and Staff

Mostly excellent. Our room steward seemed generally burned out and overwork. We gave him the night off about 50% of the time.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
I missed the promenade deck. I missed quiet areas. It was a LOUD ship a fault of poor design and amplifiers turned up full blast.

Cabin / Stateroom

Bed comfortable, coffee maker in room was a nice surprise. Odd layout. If one person sat on side of bed, they either needed to get up and move in order for the second person to pass. Sometimes we’d back roll across the top of the bed to get access to closet , couch or balcony. Sitting on the couch, you were almost nose to nose with the closet doors. That’s a slight exaggeration, but it is incredibly shallow.

Ship tip

We learned about a quiet area on day 15 of 16. It is on the 18th floor. Wish we’d known about it earlier.
