Fantastic cruise on a fantastic ship, would recommend the Epic and NCL. 7 nights wasn't long enough and there was still so much we were unable to do. Would look at booking the Epic again in the future.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
What a fantastic cruise on the Norwegian Epic. 7 nights from Barcelona, extremely quick and efficient boarding process and was on board by just after 1, and then able to get into our cabin right away. All our cases were delivered to our room about an hour before we set sail, allowing us time to get settled into the cabin.
We pre ordered 12 bottles of water for the cabin (ready and waiting for us in the room), very worth while as you're unable to take on drinks on NCL (apart from wine - corkage fee applies).
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Food - what can I say? Can't fault it one bit. We had the speciality dining package through NCL Free at Sea so took advantage of that; eating in Le Bistro (French), La Cucina (Italian) and Moderno (Brazilian Churrascaria). Both Taste and the Manhattan Room (the two main dining rooms) were equally as good. We also ate (probably too much!) at O'Sheehans and the Garden Cafe (Buffet). Only niggle was with the buffet how some fellow passengers couldn't work out how to queue properly, but that's nothing to do with NCL!
We also had room service breakfast one morning due to an early start for an excursion, very prompt and very tasty.
Onboard Activities

We used the Thermal Suite at the Mandara Spa (having pre purchased a Spa pass in advance). Well worth it and always space especially when on port days.
Also used the fitness centre, never that busy either. Plenty of cardio machines free and the fitness centre was very clean.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
So much going on on the ship, just wish the cruise had been longer. Fab shows Priscilla and Burn The Floor, well worth seeing.
There was also several music performances at the Atrium and a band in the Manhattan Room.
Children's Programs
Not travelling with children
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Couldn't fault any of the staff on board. Out room steward Clockson was very professional and helpful and kept the room immaculate, plus the towel animals every night were a nice addition.
Wherever we went on the ship, no request was too much to ask for for any of the staff we spoke to.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship was spotless, and the service staff were very quick at clearing away plates and glasses when you had finished with them.
Passengers were encouraged to wash their hands or use the supplied sanitiser dispensers before entering any restaurant or food place.
Cabin / Stateroom

Room was spacious (Mini Suite on Deck 12), the separate toilet and shower didn't bother us either. Loads of storage and plenty of hangers in the wardrobes.
Bed was very comfortable and the rounded shape of it wasn't an issue for us.
Nice sized balcony with a couple of chairs and a small table on it.
Despite being close to the stairwell and elevators we didn't hear that much noise during the night. Only one snag was the touchscreen phone had a habit of turning its screen on late at night, despite having turned it off when we went to bed. This then lit the room up a bit too much!
We were due to disembark at 8:30 am as we had a transfer to the airport. The ship arrived into port about an hour earlier than planned so we were off the ship by 8:15 am and at the airport by around 9:15am. Only downside here was our flight wasn't until 1:30 pm, would have been nice to have stayed on board for another week!
The food was amazing. We had a dining package through NCL so used some of the speciality restrurants. All I'll say is Moderno - you really have to try it! Didn't get to the Ice bar in the end - it's about $21 per person which gives you two drinks.
We didn't do the ice bar last time, definitely doing it in December. I really enjoyed the shows and this time, we have specialty dining and the drink package. Watch out cause we're ready
Perfect! You paced yourself on the cruise and did not complete all the things you wanted to enjoy. Perfect reason to book another cruise on the same ship.
Just got back from a week on the epic ! Fabulous the food was good the iccbar was $25 for two people with 2 drinks each included it was great fun ! Have a fantastic time 🚢😎
