Overall it was a good cruise on a smaller ship. Should have had free bottled water in room rather than paying $6 a bottle. Bottled water not included in drink package. Our safe was locked when we got to our room, and they could not open it because they didnt have the tool. So we could not lock our passports and extra money. Did not like that situation at all.

This was our first time sailing with Norweigian and hands down, we met the nicest people on board. We found the dining experience to be confusing and frustrating - perhaps a "how to" guide for first timers would help. The crew was great, the excursions were all fun and the ship was fine - I learned I like bigger ships with more activities. If you are cruising for the pool and beach, this is the ship for you. Nice memories

I may not cruise with Norweigan again. The food was the biggest disappointment, as well as the customer service from some of them. Getting drinks at the bar took WAY too long at any time.

Disappointed in seafood dishes. Disappointed to find out according to prior information there was no gelato bar and What happened to the offering advertised as eight flavors of ice cream?

This was our first cruise with two children under 10 and it exceeded our expectations. We loved it. Cafeteria food was great, staff was excellent, great entertainment, amazing destinations. Would love to do it again soon.

Neither nor NCL informed us of the Ultimate Beverage Package "gift" that resulted in $277+ charges in gratuities. We had no knowledge of that "gift", and when we inquired about the unauthorized charges, the personnel blamed NCL as a new "practice", and NCL accused C.O. of not informing us. I have used C.O. several times over the years and have never had an issue. This is an unacceptable way to handle business. We have not received a total refund. NCL reimbursed us $105 designated for steward gratuities from our bill - which was the improper way to handle this. Never again with NCL.

Over all a wonderful experience just needs a couple of tweaks to make the experience amazing ! Fix the WiFi connection for paying WiFi guests !

Overall the trip was a great experience. We would recommend. Plan to go again next year.

We had a great time and will cruise with NCL again. The staff are great and we particularly enjoyed the Moderno restaurant.

Great staff and Garden Cafe had good selections. Cagney's was amazing! Pool small, entertainment was okay. Not enough activities.

I had high expectations for an NCL cruise, it was supposed to be so much better than Carnival. NCL was more expensive, for everything. You are not allowed to bring on any water or soda like Carnival allows, and the beverage packages are pricey. They seem to want to nickel and dime you for everything. I was not impressed with the food or service on NCL. There was an issue with the cabin safes, over 100 cabins did not have a working safe, this was a known condition and cruisers should have been notified beforehand that there was an issue. Cruisers were told they could place their valuables and cash in the pursers office, which would have meant a long wait in line each time you needed something. Then they were told to go to the shipboard stores and purchase a lock, only they did not sell locks. I was one of the lucky ones to have a working safe, but it was not attached and fell off the shelf when I opened it, just missing my foot. Maintenance did come in and secure the safe by the end of the second day, so I was able to use it and share it with the people I was cruising with. Due to the weather being so bad We really only had two good port days, this was not NCL’s fault but disappointing none the less, a seven day cruise were five of those days are at sea is pretty boring.

Is was our getaway vacation after the difficult year we had. The weather didn't cooperate half way through the cruise, but on the cruise ship we still had fun. This was not our first cruise, so we knew what to expect. Some of the crew seem to be newly haired and still learning but they did ok. One complaint would be very slow service in the main dinning room. But by the end of the cruise they got a bit better. Also, even though they had a dress code for the main dining room it was not unforced. People were dressed very sloppy, wearing shorts, t-shirts and flip-flops that we wouldn't wear even to the garage sale. The wine steward Emilio was very polite and even though they didn't have variety of wines that were listed on their drink menu, Emilio did his very best to make the guests happy. The spa staff was also good and we had the best manicure in years from the highly professional manicurist Nasrin, who was also the sweetest person you can ever meet. The excursion staff was very organized and we got immediate refund for the excursions cancelled due to bad weather. We choose Norwegian shuttle service from and to the airport which we would highly recommend. To sum it all we'd say that we will remain loyal to NCL and

We really enjoyed our visit to the canal, but wish there was less cruise line ports with their jewelry, souvenir stores and more true cultural ports of the countries visited.

Well trained happy crew. Food in the main restaurants was very good.

Enjoyed the cruise overall it took some of the enjoyment out of it getting sick 2 thirds of the way thru but overall was a good cruise I would say the biggest disappointment was in the quality of the buffet thankful the other restaurants were better

Expecting a small ship experience will not lead to disappointment. The ports are fun. The food is mediocre. The shows are good. Norwegians freestyle is nice. The small ship benefit is there is always room for you, whether a lounge chair, a place at the pool at Harvest Caye, and usually in the dining room.

Once we went to the cabin we had book 5082. We saw that there was a 3rd bed built into the wall on once side of the bed we were using. We saw no indication from pictures nor had we been told that this room was for 3 people. The first morning, i bent to pick up something that had drooped off my nightstand and smacked my head on the metal frame of the extra bed. I saw stars. Went I went to customer service to see if something could be done, I felt this was a dangerous situation and position for this extra bed; I was told the ship was full and that the extra bed could not be removed. Did I need medical assistance?!! Luckily at that point I did not, other than having a sore head where I had banged it. The next day the safe in our room gave us an error messaged when we went to open it. I called guest relations again, and informed them about the safe and asked if someone could come unlock it. I was told that these safes were problematic and would need to be drilled out. Once drilled, they would no longer work. Crew came in and drilled out the safe that had all our cash, credit cards, jewelry and passports. I called guest service again and asked if NCL would now be responsible for our valuables since we no longer had a safe to use and was told I could come down the main desk and use their safe. Really??? then every time I needed any jewelry or cash, I needed to come down to the desk, wait in line and then decide what I wanted to wear or how much to take? After speaking to a few of the other guests, they informed me that they were without use of the safes in their rooms as well. Terrible!! overall ... we were very disappointed in NCL.

My first NCL cruise in steam boat was in 1987. This Dawn has the best of port of calls, staff(maybe captain) over PA system explains panama canal in very detail, I give him 5 stars.

excellent cruise, great ship with excellent crew. great itinery
