Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Dining rooms were great. We especiallly enjoyed the Venitian and Sheehan's Irish Pub. The Specialty dinners were both great at Cagneys and the Brazilian Steak house. The Buffets for the most part were very good. There was some issues with some of the food but nothing to complain about. My biggest issue was being charged $4.50 for a bottle of water. When I left the ship I purchased a bottle of water that was 3 times as big as bottles on the ship for 0.23. Water should be included with the Drink Package. These are my comments(Candida Kyle) The drinks were fabulous, but I was not satisfied with all the food. There was one day in the buffet where both my husband and I had to leave all everything on our plate and go elsewhere to eat. Our favorite dinning area was the Venetian. Overall, I would rate the food 3.5 stars.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Didn't use many of the activities. I did enjoy the Hot tub. Also my $79.00 T-Shirt. I lost a Bingo. My comments: Candida Kyle When I went on another cruise line the activities were free. Zumba and other classes lead by fitness instructors were wonderful at the other cruise and I was so disappointed that Norwegian wanted $20 per class therefor I did not use the facilities.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Everything was A-ONE. Enjoyed all of the shows. The Musicians were great, the DJ was great, the Bands were all Great. The Illusionist show was Fantastic both times. My Comments: Candida Kyle By far you had the most wonderful excellent entertainment of any cruise ship I have experienced. We enjoyed every single show and looked forward to it each day. Congradulations to all the people on board who were first class stars! 5 stars plus!!!!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Waiters were friendly and approachable. There were several so I don't remember all of there names. They all deserve a raise. Our room steward (Roderick) was fantastic and attended to our needs without any issues. My Comments: Candida Kyle Wonderful, helpful, responsive and accommodation staff.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The layout is a little confusing because you don't always come out of the same elevator and you have to check the signs to make sure I/We were going the right way.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Comfort was acceptable, size could have been a little bigger, cabin was very clean.

Ship tip

Make sure you know where you are going by studying the layout

NAPLES (POMPEII), ITALY

Wonderful, our excursion was great, the atmosphere was great. We took the self guided tour.

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

We did a local excursion (not the ships). They promised alot but did not follow through. We were only able to see 3 sites (Vatican, Circus Maximus and Collosium) but only about 20 minutes at each place. The crowd was awful too many people

Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy

Loved the beauty of everything. We chose a personal driver and he was great. Fortunately my wife speaks Italian and she was able to translate everything. The drivers name was Fabrizio - I would recomment him to everyone

Cannes, France

5 out of 5
This particular port we chose a ship excursion and it was wonderful. The guide was very attentive and informative. My wife being able to speak Italian made it easy. It turns out the guide (Michaelangelo) has a home in the town that my wife was born in. Mola di Bari (what are the odds?)

Disembarkation

Easy and smooth. The lines were kinda long waiting for a taxi, other than that everything went smoothly
