Best crew and food ever. Phenomenal experience that I will never forget. Breakaway has its act together. Well oiled machine. Crew all know there roles and play them well at the highest level. Absolutely not one single complaint at all. Everything was perfect. Blown away by the experience and NCL never disappoints. However this was simply amazing and it was my honor and privilege to be welcomed back onboard by NCL after 2 years. Just go, set reasonable expectations and you will have a great time. Don’t forget to pack a smile!!!

There is no bad cruise. I don't think I would do this itinerary again. But it was worth doing one.

This is my very first cruise on Norwegian Cruise Line. I decided to try them because as a resident of New York City, NCL has more departures out of the Manhattan Cruise Terminal than any other cruise line. I have co-workers and friends that have sailed on NCL before and can't sing its praises enough. After having sailed on Norwegian myself, I realized it is NOT the line for me. Unlike my other cruises so far, on Carnival, Royal Caribbean and Holland America, I have NEVER felt so nickel-and-dimed as I have on Norwegian. It seems like people have an entirely different experience on the same sailing depending on how much cash you are willing to shell out. Big drinkers LOVE NCL because the cruise fare can include a beverage package (and the drinks were indeed very, very good, but for a big foodie like myself, unless I'm preparing to shell out for more specialty dining, it leaves a lot to be desired. I would NOT go to any of the specialty restaurants on NCL with à la carte pricing WITHOUT a dining package, as the cost per item can REALLY add up! Some of them, like La Cucina and the American Diner, I felt could be better as pay-one-price instead of à la carte. You'd have to be really stupid to buy NCL cruise fare without a beverage package, as "Free At Sea" offers happen quite often, so if there's a sailing you like, wait for one of those. Lastly, the NCL app is AWFUL!

Crew and food was great. Add more shore excursions. Went to see fall colors but everything was full

Long boarding process. Rough seas the first day. NCL did not impress me at all. Crew did not follow courtesies of giving guests the right of way or acknowledging guests when passing. No live tv in room was really disappointing. Movies had to be purchased. Not a cruise I would take again.

Would do this cruise again anytime. Loved the ship overall

Poor level of service, overcrowded, outdated and in need of a deep cleaning.

Embarkation out of New York a Breeze. Finally had plenty of staff members. Debarking was easy did self debark and Customs using Facial Recognition. Bars were great, Love Le Bistro.

Ports and ship was somewhat disappointing. Will not recommend this ship. Many other NCL ships are much better. Cruise director kind of missing in action. Not much to do on-board.

This was our second time aboard the Breakaway and the first post-Covid. We enjoyed this cruise as much as our first. Sailing with NCL has never been disappointing.

This was an enjoyable cruise. One meal disappointment and a customs snafu did not take away from a wonderful voyage. It was good to be on the sea. I would do it again. Staff are friendly and professional. Can't wait till my next voyage

I sailed in September. The only thing I’d change would be to go either a month earlier to see puffins before they migrate or a month later to catch more intense fall colors.

Fun cruise. Really enjoyed the ship and ports. It was interesting being in colder and English speaking ports.

Great itinerary. Good service. Set your goals low with the food. But we certainly didn’t go hungry. Specialty restaurants are getting pricey. Look ahead to the weather in your ports. We packed summer to fall. Layers.

Over all a nice time on a ship we love just being on the ship and relaxing most of the time. Lots of choices for shore excursions ( ours was canceled at the last minute) on one. The crew folks were all very nice and helpful. Ship could have provided more information such as what floor to exit ship, Have more people that know what they are doing at the customer service desk and the excursions desk.

Beautiful family vacation we saw lots of wonderful sights. Evenings on the ship are a bit boring unless you drink a lot. Food was okay but nothing spectacular. I would visit these ports again but in a different ship. I was not impressed with the breakaway.

Ruined it by going out in New York the night before and got Covid. Would’ve been awesome as the weather was perfect.

We as a group had fun , the lack of communication between staff , white shirts and black coats ruined some of our plans , did not like the rudeness… this was our first cruise with NCL and our last

It was ok. I liked the breakaway. I would not do the New England itinerary again. The weather was foggy rainy windy most of the time.
