My first USA mainland departure that commenced in San Francisco. A bucket list Panama Canal transit and worth it all the way. Some great ports along the way. Loved the ship even though it was a bigger vessel. The entertainment team were top notch. I was able to see first hand how well NCL look after solo cruisers and I have now booked myself solo in 2021 out of Rome on the Epic.

Manhattan very nice food but staff overwhelmed with number of guests at times. Garden Cafe offerings a bit monotonous. Handled the outbreak of norovirus very well.

Go karts, water slides good fun. Anything the entertainment team put on I was into.

Entertainment on board was classy, from headliner acts to production shows and comedy club. Beatles act very good. Lucky to see 'SIX' on board.

Being a fairly new ship the overall condition was very good. Clean and tidy always.
Cabin / Stateroom

Spacious but not enough shelf space for the door side guest. The view from this forward facing cabin is spectacular, especially during our Canal transit.
Ship tip
Book shows before you sail where you can otherwise do it immediately you embark.
Take advantage of the lounge forward on 15.
Awful welcome to New York. Two and half hours of queueing and waiting sometimes in drizzly rain. Security measures understandable but issues arose way before that.
I think you'll enjoy the Epic but it can be a little bit of a let down after sailing the bliss. But you sound like you've got a great attitude so you'll have fun.
