Review summary

This cruise had a great itinerary with a good mix of ports (10 day Mediterranean portion) and a relaxing 14-day ocean crossing. The ship is new and beautiful with interesting art displayed throughout. The service was outstanding and the crew was friendly and very accommodating. Although I enjoyed the music in the Rock Room and BB King’s Blues Club, I felt that the entertainment on Center Stage was mostly mediocre with a few exceptions. The food in the Speciality Restaurants was outstanding, especially the Rice Table Dinner in Tamarind. MDR was loud, and food was inconsistent, but service was always excellent. Good cruise for an older crowd.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Speciality restaurants were outstanding! Food in MDR was hit or miss, but noise level was intolerable. More food options needed in Lido. Food and service were very good at Dive-In and the NY Deli.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Fitness Center and guest lecturers were good, but other onboard activities were extremely limited.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Thoroughly enjoyed Rolling Stones Rock Band and BB King Blues Club. Main Stage shows, with the exception of Humanity, we’re mainly unimpressive. Did not enjoy Billboard Onboard or Lincoln Center Stage.

Children's Programs

Did not have any children traveling with us.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The best service we have encountered from any cruise line!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
New and very well maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
For a suite, this stateroom was very small, including the bathroom. Very disappointing! However, there was ample storage space available.

Ship tip

Bring something to do if you like to keep busy.

Hard to tell much about this port. With 5 cruise ships in port that day, it was much too crowded to be enjoyable.
