I HAD THE MOST BEAUTIFUL TIME,EVERYTHING WAS JUST PERFECT, I WOULD LIKE TO RECOMENDED TO ALL THE PEOPLE THAT KNEW I WAS ON A CRUISE. FROM THE BEGGINING, MARY JANE DE LA CRUZ WAS THE MOST EFFICIENT AGENT, HELPING ME OUT MORE THAN THE ORDINARY AND I HAVE TO THANK HER BECAUSE SHE WAS THE ONE THAT MAKE THIS POSSIBLE WITH ALL HER EXTRAORDINARY HELP

Great cruise! Ship was beautiful and the crew was awesome! Our 13 month DD was treated like a star! The food was delicious. We also had a lido poolside cabana and it was fantastic. Don't know if I can cruise without one.

Did not go to 2 of the ports on our 14 day cruise. Would have liked a better compensation than a glass of champagne. I know Disney would have done a better job of compensation.

Two friends and I cruised on a back-to-back Collector's Voyage aboard the MS Nieuw Amsterdam Feb 2013. All in all, it was a wonderful ship. They told us the dining room menus would be different for each week - that was not the case, same food just different day. The ship was very clean in all areas and the crew took VERY good care of public rest rooms unlike other cruise lines I've been on. I will keep cruising HAL as they are the best cruise line for older people that I've found. Smoking section in the Casino has dwindled to the back row of slot machines but, wait for it.... you can only smoke there IF you have money in one of those slot machines. Really? As a recent non-smoker, I understand making a part of the casino smoking vs nonsmoking, but forcing you to play in order to smoke goes just a little bit too far. We are to get $300 back on the cruise from but it is such a long and ridiculous process to get it. If we get money back considering what we PAID for the cruise, why do they need the listing of what we spent on the cruise? That should have nothing to do with it!

Our Western Caribbean cruise on the Nieuw Amsterdam over Christmas was amazing. The ship was lovely, the stops were great, and we ate an amazing meal every night! We would definitely suggest this cruise and line!

The ship, cabin, itinerary, food, entertainment, and ports were fine, but there were many signs of service cutbacks that were noticeable and not appreciated. Dinners took way too long (2 to 2.5 hours), mostly because dining staff were undertrained and overworked. Internet service was so bad they should be embarrassed to offer it at all. Port stops in St. Martin and Half Moon Cay were too short, for no obvious reason. It wasn't a bad cruise (is there any such thing?) but it was definitely mediocre.

The ship was clean and the service was great. There was a large number of seniors on the ship and there was a meeting of republicans to discuss the last election. The first 2 days had really rough weather and the first stop in the Bahamas was bypassed due to safety reasons. Even though there were 2200 people on board, the only lines occurred on embarkation and disembarkation.

The largest of the HAL fleet, it never feels crowded. The staterooms have ample storage space and there is almost always room at any event. The crew is quite friendly and generally responsive to any complaints. This luded a long trans-Atlantic segment which was elegant and a wonderful time for reflection

if i were planning to open a hotel i would have my future employees take a holl-amer cruise to see how people can be treated. the crew was excellent and the service was done with a professional , pleasant demeanor.

The ship is beautiful, in fact it is elegant. It is clean, it is efficient, and the staff is a treat.

The ship was very nice, clean. The crew had a problem with the English language and the need it to know more about places in the ship and activities.

Average to good.

The ship which carries a new york theme to follow its name, is beautifully and creatively designed

I thought that the ship was poorly laid out. The 10th and 11th floors were in 3 seperate sections. To go form one to the other you had to go down to deck 9 walk through the pool area to get to another section.

The number of passengers on this ship is 2100, yet the public areas appear to be similar in size to the smaller ships, thus causing long lines for food service, and the Movies in the screening room didn't have enough seats.

the smoothly run ship is a masterpiece of organization. Everything works well. The food is plentyful and good, the employees are knowlegable and helpful. The Ship is beautiful, and the rooms are nice.

Overall the experience was wonderful. We enjoyed meeting folks from other countries and sampling international cuisine. Ship decor was nice and clean; staff very friendly.

The cruise was absolutly amazing! My husband and I loved it! The nightly shows were a little "over the top" but there were other things you could do besides that. We watched movies, enjoyed the carribean, ate lots and lots of food... Food was everywhere and was so good.
