Very below average cruise.

Sail Date: June 17, 2012

Reviewed: 4 years ago

Traveled As: Large Group

Room Type: Balcony

I thought that the ship was poorly laid out. The 10th and 11th floors were in 3 seperate sections. To go form one to the other you had to go down to deck 9 walk through the pool area to get to another section.

Pros: The friends that we were with.

Cons: Some of the ports of call were a waste of time.

Recommends Nieuw Amsterdam? No.

Ship Quality
The isles on the Lido deck where the food was served were very narrow. Everyone was running into each other.
Food and Dining
Service in the main dining room was very below average. The food at breakfast on the Lido deck was usually cold.
Cabin / Stateroom
Service and Staff
Some good some bad.
