The tipping subject can sometimes be a bit of an issue, but I tend to budget a little extra and use quite a lot of "Quiet but folded paper" handshakes. In the bars it always got me quick service, even if there was a queue. Also helped with super service from the room stewards

Sure. If you are an american - stay away from this cruise. You will even fear for your own live due to the unsafe conditions of the offshore tours.

Top tip - go to the restaurant as much as possible even with kids, it’s so much calmer than the buffet! Don’t disembark at the exact time, give it at least an hour and you’ll miss the rush, you’ll still have plenty of time. Also, we didn’t take any of the excursions. Example in Athens we came out of port and got a taxi for €20 into Athens had a lovely walk around all day and taxi back, no need to pay for the excursion. Same in Croatia, I think the taxi was €12, you don’t need to pay for a guide or excursion! Talk to the waiting staff and show an interest and build relations and you will be treated so well.

Do not go to buffet restaurant in peak hours - allow at least an hour for the queues to die down

Beautiful ship, staff friendly - buffet appeared a bit chaotic alright but overall this ship was amazing & please ignore some of the bad reviews you read as I was nervous after reading them & none of it was true - Yes the musica is an older ship but she is still beautiful & kept very well

Worst ship I ever try !! After 3 good MSC cruise ship , this one was very disappointing !

Although we had some challenges embarking and disembarking in Brindisi I still think it would have been better than Venice as things looked really chaotic there?

Disregard some of the extremely negative reports written by disgruntled passengers who would have you believe that their experiences are representative of everyone’s experience on MSC Musica. We understand that someone may have had a poor experience but don’t generalize that to represent the experience of all passengers on MSC Musica.

Great “first cruise” but you’ll be disappointed if you have cruises on other lines like celebrity or royal Caribbean. Some excursions did sell out.

While I would recommend MSC and the cruise. I have worned individuals to pay close attention to the ports docking at and the proximity to the percieved city docking at. It was a bit misleading. The distance where docked at vs the city of advertisement

Avoid the buffet if you don't like crowds, get the Aurea pass (in advance) if you didn't book an Aurea room, bring magnetic hooks and packing cubes, and enjoy meeting people from many nationalities (both crew and passengers).
