Great Time! by 24MyLuckyDragon

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: MSC Meraviglia

This was overall a great cruise. Not happy we had to miss Ocean Cay. But that was out of the Captain's control since it was weather-related. I would have liked to see some kind of compensation for missing this port since it is regarded as one of the highlights of this cruise.

Last minute trip from home by AlexRu

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Meraviglia

Im general the cruise was really nice. The ship, cabin and entertainment were good. The food is ok, my wife is vegetarian and she found good options on the buffet. The main dinner usually just had one or two veggie options (different from NCL who offered a full veggie menu) and the food was average. The stop in Fort Lauderdale is totally unnecessary, but they use it to restock the ship.

Disorganized by Alisca

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Meraviglia

I didn’t enjoy my cruise at all the food was by far the worst . Felt as if I was eating the same thing over and over. It was a constant wait for everything felt like my cruise consisted of just waiting in line and wasn’t able to enjoy it .

Enjoyable Cruise by goodbyesnow

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: MSC Meraviglia

This is only my fourth cruise, my first with MSC, but I have to say that the service and entertainment were the best. I felt the buffet food comparatively was above average, as was the dining room. The pizza and mozzarella cheese were very good; pasta dishes in dining room were great, I definitely enjoyed my share! There were a lot of activities to get involved with if you want. I wish the themed parties didn’t start at 10:45 at night because I was too tired from my daytime activities to enjoy them! I would definitely cruise with MSC again.

Food was disappointing by nikkic1103

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: MSC Meraviglia

Ship clean and staff good, some exceptional. Don't expect hot food anywhere on ship. Buffet and beverage stations close down at 9 pm so you can't get anything after seeing an 8pm show. Very few shops (4-5) aboard ship and expensive ($11.50) for a small shareable bag of M&Ms that cost at most $5 anywhere else. Everything closes up at 9pm, Gelato shop, stores, buffet, beverage stations.

My 3rd time on this ship! by AlanSchiff

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends

Due to weather, our cruise missed Port Canaveral and Ocean Cay. Instead we had an extra day at sea and a stop in Miami. Was fine with me.

A good voyage by jdh1217

Overall, food was great, entertainment was great. Traveling through that many sea days can be subject to some rough waters, so be prepared to prevent motion sickness.

Great experience overall. Beautiful ship with good food and plenty of places to sit quietly or events to enjoy. Highly recommend. *Also I was a solo traveler and appreciated the events and dinner arrangements to introduce me to other solo travelers.

A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE by mrslaccilus

This was a cruise we went with an open mind and not let other people's opinion determine whether we would book with MSC as we had a great time and would sail again with them.

Great cruise! by jojo1224

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: MSC Meraviglia

This was a great cruise, not crowded and that made it more enjoyable. I had previously been to all the ports but still enjoyed them, and Ocean Cay is wonderful because the beach and ocean are the focus, it’s not overly developed and you get to really relax and enjoy. The new port in Nassau is a big contrast to the rest of the area, but I felt safe and enjoyed looking in the small shops, The entertainment was good, although some of it wasn’t my taste, it’s obvious that the performers are hardworking and talented. Food was okay, the service in the MDR was good , but more variety is needed in the buffet. Excellent pizza and baked goods. They did not have the fresh mozzarella every day and i missed that. i have already booked two more cruises on the Meraviglia!

Best entertainment & performances I’ve seen on cruises! by Scrabblemomof1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: MSC Meraviglia

On a scale of one to 10 I give the MSC cruise line a solid 8.75! I think the website could be more user-friendly. But once on the ship, I would give it a solid 9! The entertainment was top-notch. The food was good. The pizza was excellent at the buffet chocolate shop. The prices in the MSC shop are very good they’re reasonable they had nice MSC jackets for only $26, you can buy sets for less priced than you on the outside, the arts and crafts on sea days do not incur an extra charge and of course the staff are very friendly. I had no major issues the entire 12 days of my cruise and yes I absolutely would sell with MSC out of Brooklyn again. 🤗

MSC has Highs and Lows by sherims

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: MSC Meraviglia

We've cruised for many years and have sailed over 20 times with different lines. This was our first time on MSC. Overall, we were not super impressed. It seemed like the staff wasn't expecting a full ship on this Christmas sailing. Then, when things ran out, they said the ship is very full.

Great experience, will travel MSC again. by LFeron

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: MSC Meraviglia

We had a pleasant experience with MSC. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Our cabin attendant Sybel Espenida was amazing!! John Hosier was our head waiter at our designed restaurant and helped us in any and every way on our dinners, Rudy ( waiter) was funny, efficient and friendly. Overall the ability to eat whenever from the buffet was great because we could enjoy the pools and spas at times it was less crowded and always have food availability, not getting stuck with dinner time only. Pizza was great and OMG the on the ship made mozzarella was DELICIOUS 🤤!! The ship was all very clean and food amazing!! To me it all seemed very organized. Embarkation and disembarkation was a smooth process. Our thanks to all. We were a family of 9 that had a great stay at the meraviglia ship. - Da silva and Feron family!! Looking forward to our next trip.

MSC has the worst food I’ve ever tasted on a cruise! Food on a cruise is supposed to be one of the best parts. My wife even found a small rock in a chick pea salad. by JPCash

Customer service at desk was not good. Waiting staff worked hard but under staffed.

A Pleasant Cold Rerouting by NIKKI7484

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Meraviglia

This cruise was rerouted because of the storm, which is very understandable. My issue is that MSC communicated the itinerary change late on Friday evening. Given that storms do not appear overnight, I would have appreciated a several day in advance notice as more of a courtesy as I am sure the company would have been tracking this weather event. I still had a great time with the new itinerary. I do believe more entertainment is needed & the cruise director should be more visible. On other lines there is so much more to do and the CDs are always out and about engaging with us. Many people like all the fluff cakes and tarts offered in buffet, but many of us also would just like a chocolate chip cookie or a brownie every now and again as well. So, maybe just offering something simple would be great. Overall, it was a nice time, and I am glad the ship is still in good shape and just as beautiful.

I enjoyed it! by Cruiseluva2020

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: MSC Meraviglia

It was a great cruise overall. Only thing I will complain about is that it was cold in our room. The thermostat wouldn't go any higher. I'm not sure if it was because they was not prepared to be in the cold but every night and morning we woke up freezing to the point where I had to let the hot shower run to get the room warm.

Flash Itinerary Change to Northeastern US & Canada by PeteP370

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Meraviglia

Many people cancelled after MSC notified the passengers cruising on 12/16/2023, that they had to change the itinerary due to the massive storms that were effecting the eastern seaboard at the time. We ended up cruising north to Boston, Portland Maine and St. John's, Brunswick, Canada. Many were not able to go, as they did not have the necessary Visas to enter Canada. Many did not want to face the cold, as they weren't properly prepared with warm clothing. Those that did decide to cruise on, enjoyed the ship's amenities and the lower capacity. There were very few lines, and when there was the wait time was brief. We did get to do a behind-the-scenes tour of several areas of the ship, that I don't know if it is regularly offered, or added to provide some additional things to do. This was definitely a unique cruise, and one that I won't forget. I will cruise on the Meraviglia again sometime, as I want to experience their private island, Ocean Cay in the Bahamas.
