All sparkling Swarovski crystals doesn't... by coworker50

Sail date: /
Ship: MSC Meraviglia

All sparkling Swarovski crystals doesn't cover Meraviglia buffet disaster. Always overcrowd, boring, poor and really low quality food (bacon tray - it is just the shame!). Starting every day with such breakfast just ruined our trip. We bought all inclusive packages for 2 adults and 1 child for almost $800 and we couldn't use it. Such a waste. Only luck - we got furniture on our balcony, which guys on the earlier cruises didn't get it. MSC - never again!

Ship: MSC Meraviglia

The ship was beautiful! The ports were great! Not enough staff, the staff was confused on what was included in certain packages. Room was decent, food was just ok. I wouldn't suggest my choice dining, as we were only allowed to eat in the panoramic dinning room, and not the other 2 dinning rooms. Definitely need more training and organization at ports and embarking and disembarking!

The ship is magnificent but the staff, with a few exceptions, was appalling. Rude, uninterested and lazy. The food and service was truly awful. The entertainment was poor also. I will not travel MSC again!

MERAVIGLIA a truly nightmare! by hmarpsilva

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: MSC Meraviglia / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

The big day arrived ! The amazing giant was waiting!

A stunning and giant cruise ship!

After the first day the nightmare begins...

The food service

was too poor to be true comparing with other MSC cruises. Don't expect to have more that cheap and basic burgers, low budget hot dogs and very good pizzas... forget fruits, iogurtes and healthier products, forget after hours services ... the worst service I've seeing in an cruise ...

But the real and bigger problem was the quality of the most costumers, the Italians that check in in Genova and Nápoles and Frenchs that comming in Marseille was worst that animals !!! It was unbelievable... just filming to prove...

So the worst cruise ever ! Doesn't worth the money ..

don't do it!!!

Great Ship by JMN69

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Meraviglia / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

MSC 2017 by ymazarredo

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: MSC Meraviglia / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Very nice ship and excellent ports of call. Crew still uncertain as to their roles and processes and thay need to better organize crowds at embarkation, disembarkation at ports and on board ship. On line MSC site was very unfriendly and difficult to manage. Also MSC kept having me go to my on line cruise site to pre-book drinks packages, etc. I've never had to do this with any other cruise line. Very time consuming

Just spent a week on... by arose60

Sail date: /
Ship: MSC Meraviglia

Just spent a week on a beautiful new ship, cabins good size, well appointed. Service poor, too few staff, not supported by managers. Only one chair on the balcony, but some had none. However more furniture was being loaded at Genoa. A fantastic ship that needs a few more weeks to be sorted.

Amazing boat. Everything is great. The only bad thing is that they are not enough workers and the service is bad. But you can stay a whole week on it and enjoy every place.

tres beau bateau mais organisation perfectible. by juju67

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: MSC Meraviglia / Destination: Europe

Cirque du soleil at sea :

On the maiden voyage too.... by bgtwinsplusone

Sail date: /
Ship: MSC Meraviglia

On the maiden voyage too. Not much of entertainment compared to other cruise lines. Too many problems but that can be expected on the first voyage. We paid extra for a balcony (it was a huge corner balcony) but unfortunately we couldn't use it because there were no furniture. We did receive a $100 credit per cabin (should have been more). Also food was not as good as Disney or Carnival. No lobster or stone crabs! Entertainment staff was very stiff and rude to non-European. I wouldn't recommend this ship although I may consider taking another MSC cruise in the Caribbean. Not impressed with service but the ship was beautiful. Crazy cabin layout to accommodate more rooms per ship. Photographers were not good. All around poor experience. Sorry.

peaceful cruise got much needed rest by HCHPbeauty

The cruise was great except for mandatory tipping hitting as service charge. Most guests are double charged since you feel obligated to show love for the staff you really like.

Everything was OK. Just OK. Nothing great, service mediocre. Whole 9th deck smelled of mold in hallways whole trip, many people relocated due to problems on this deck.
