Review summary

All sparkling Swarovski crystals doesn't cover Meraviglia buffet disaster. Always overcrowd, boring, poor and really low quality food (bacon tray - it is just the shame!). Starting every day with such breakfast just ruined our trip. We bought all inclusive packages for 2 adults and 1 child for almost $800 and we couldn't use it. Such a waste. Only luck - we got furniture on our balcony, which guys on the earlier cruises didn't get it. MSC - never again!

I'm now on the msc meraviglia and I have too the all inclusive package and I didn't have any problems

We made 2 calls to MSC and spoke to 2 different people and got the following info about gratuities and service fees and drink packages. There should be no additional gratuity/service fee for using the deluxe beverage packages No additional service fees or taxes unless you pay gratuities at the end and these are fees from your credit card for currency exchange Gratuity charge is $11 USD per day per person.

Yeah.thats right unless you get your gratuities included in your holiday deal.that is all you have to pay for at the end of your cruise.

You do not pay anything else if you a drink package, if you thoose the drink there is in the package. You will pay 10 euro pr night for the service and tourist tax. 2 different things.

I have sailed with ncl a few times and had all-inclusive and at the end off the cruise had nothing to pay.that is the all point of all-inclusive. why get it if you still pay something every time you purchase a drink.

Why the 18% fee is such a surprise? NCL charges it too, even when you get the package as a promotion.

All inclusive package does not include service fee. Funny, isn't it.

I don't understand why you were charged 18% service charge when you had the all-inclusive package. did you have the classic or the premium package. Also I thought gratuities were charged at 10 euros per person a day.

Because, all those extras or doesn't exist or hard to reach. There's no ice cream at buffett for people without packages or with it. (We got it for our five years old grandson on the promenade for, I believe $12.) I did't see any energy drinks on the ship, which included in your packages. You can get only some kind cheap sparkling water, not Perrier or Pellegrino. (and you cruising around France and Italy?! ) If you want to have decent coffee for your breakfast you should get lucky to catch a waiter and wait and wait , or go to the bar and stay on the long line for that. Juice machine for everyone working just in the morning hours. And we were being actually forced to buy "all inclusive" packages for each of us, because all people on your cabin supposed to have or not have it. And, I guess, you know, that for each visit to bar, caffe or gelato place you will pay up to 18% service fee. So at the end of our trip we got a bill for every day tip charges and service fees - almost $1,000.

I would also be interested why you could not use your all inclusive package. My husband and I are cruising in October and have purchased them as well. I sure would hate to be out that kind of money.

Kopite dont worry. I am sure you will have a wonderful cruise. I have been on msc 5 times, and I enyoed every time. Just not focus on every little thing that may not be as you want. Open you mind, and I am sure it will be allright.

sad to read your comments on msc.There seems to be more negative reviews than good,worrying as I am going on it in November. you said you got all inclusive drink package. Why couldn't you use it.

Once again, MSC either gets terrific reviews, or terrible reviews. I still plan in checking out the Divina some year soon.
