To me ANY cruise is a good cruise. So based on that this was a good cruise. I do think MSC sometimes gets some undeserved bad reviews. This was my 4th cruise with MSC and I would cruise with them again. That being said in summary the service on this cruise and the engagement and friendliness of the crew was as good as I’ve ever received. The ports of call were good and the weather was great. I have seen some improvement in the music on board the MSC line since my first cruise with them. They had more upbeat music on deck and in the bars and lounges. They played island and beach type music on Ocean Cay. On the other hand the food (in the opinion of me and my wife) HAS to improve if they are going to appeal to an American clientele. The buffet was not good except for breakfast. The dining room food was just meh. The selection was lacking. The dining quality is a large part of the cruise experience and is one area that carries a lot of weight in choosing a cruise. I will probably give MSC another go in the future (especially if I get a great fare like I did on this one) but if the food isn’t improved it would probably be my last. Also I might add that there were benefits to a low passenger count like better service, no waiting in line, etc but having only 500 passengers made many times and events having a feeling of a party where only a few guests showed up. Everyone on the cruise had to have their vaccines and were given a Covid test before being allowed to board. I think having to wear a mask inside was redundant. We will not be cruising again as long as there is a mask mandate. We also won’t cruise until the situation gets closer to normal numbers. Having 500 passengers on a ship that normally has 4000 is somewhat eerie.

Beautiful and spotless ship. Did 7night 4 night back to back. Only approximately 500 on 7 night and 1200 on 4 night. With so few guest the food service in the dinner room was beyond slow. Had to ask numerous times to get anything. Other that that my only other complaint was the quality of the food in the main dinner and buffet was far below what as a experience cruiser expect. Had the same issue on the Seaside the only other MSC to have cruised. Would definitely cruise on MSC again if the rates are great but would spend a little more to sail on another line with better food quality, variety and dinning service

After 20+ cruises, MSC has quickly become our favorite line. The ships and crew are top-notch and the value can't be beat. Compared to our second favorite cruise line, Celebrity, we get the same service, ship, and itinerary (with very few exceptions) for almost 1/2 the cost. That's a win-win in my book!

Cruises out of Port Canaveral, watched a Space X launch from the Horizon Pool Deck, stopped in Nassau and then enjoyed a beach day at the breathtaking Ocean Cay.

This was our 2nd MSC cruise. This cruise FAR exceeded the first one, including the food, staff, and ship's appearance. After this cruise, I'd definitely recommend MSC.

This is nice ship with some interesting features. We are booked on it again. This was my 40th cruise.

Great time in the Yacht Club! I will always cruise this way in the future! Love everything being included and being so spoiled! All the staff was wonderful!

This was my first cruise with MSC and it was in the top 3 of the 20 cruises I have taken in the last 35 years. Having less than 500 passengers on a ship that holds 4,500 was a great experience. No wait for an elevator, no lines, no problem getting a deck chair or seat at the buffet, etc. This cruise also stopped at Costa Maya, it was not listed as an option to review. I went to Maya Chan, which is always a great experience.

We had an excellent cruise on the MSC Meraviglia. Our first cruise in a suite and we will definitely be doing this again. Can't say enough about how wonderful this experience was for us.

We will only travel in the yacht club. Service is outstanding. Dinners in the yc restaurant were superb. The lounge staff was so extremely attentive. Always a snack to have if desired. The pool deck was kept so clean and breakfast and lunch served there was also quite enjoyable. The staff is what made this cruise! In addition MSC followed safety protocols to the max!

I enjoy MSC cruises, and they have improved since my first cruise in the late 90's. The ships are beautiful and very clean.

We had an excellent cruise. Not sure why others are complaining about the food and service, we experienced nothing but great service and exceptional food.

Cruising in January is fun.... Less people onboard and great weather. This is our 2nd cruise on the Meraviglia and it was as great as our first one. Absolutely beautiful ship and fantastic crew. Will definitely sail on her again in the near future.

As I said earlier the ship was beautiful. If every MSC ship is this beautiful I would love to see all of them. However, the food in my opinion, was not up to par with any other cruise line I’ve ever been on. This is my 23rd Cruise first cruise with MSC and I doubt if I’ll be back again. The only way I’ll be back is if the draw of the beautiful ship brings me.

We had hopes that MSC would be our new favorite. Cheap fares, beautiful ships, so much potential. Was not a bad cruise and want to try them again after Covid but at this point, our least favorite. It started off bad with dealing with pre-cruise corporate incompetence and lies and that unfortunately probably soured the on-board experience. When we got onboard, we tried again to get our family's cabins near each other liked we booked them but was told "NO". Listend to a woman who was upset because she bid on an upgrade and MSC charged her credit card but she was not given the upgrade. The desk clerk told her, "MSC will refund your money later." She knew that was a lie. I would never trust MSC to refund money. She begged to speak to a supervisor but they would not let her. They just have a different (unfair) way of doing business. I usually dread the end of a cruise but this time I was OK with leaving. Not that I didn't enjoy it all but just didn't feel comfortable. We only had 1400 passengers so having no lines was amazing. If I sailed MSC with a full crowd I don't think I would have enjoyed it much. It is a cheap cruise so hard to complain but strangely the problems with MSC is not much to do with money, just weird business decisions and culture. I hope they get it together for the North American market. Still don't be afraid of trying MSC.

While the COVID cloud was ever present the crew did a great job of insuring COVID protocols were followed and they even tested everyone on board on Tuesday so it seemed they were attempting to do their best and go above and beyond. Our group of 5 had a very good trip and absolutely love sailing with reduced numbers!!!

I adore this ship and crew. This voyage was a little quieter than previous voyages, but with Omicron surging, it's the best we could have asked for. Thank you Antonio in the Casino, Chester and Maharta in Waves. (Feel better Chester)

This is not the best time for cruising. There is little danger of Covid, yet the restrictions are abundant and greatly reduce the cruising experience. If there is any enjoyment to be had then wait for the freedom allowed in the past. Otherwise, you are better off looking for a domestic vacation.

The good...beautiful ship. The bad..the food choices were boring and repetitive. Specialty restaurants were insanely priced. The ugly..embarkation and disembarking was a total cluster. And the covid i bought home has had me in bed 4 days so far. If this strain is mild, I'm glad I didn't have the serious one. Vaxed and boosted didn't help. I don't blame them for the Covid. They took all reasonable precautions, its just the world we currently live in.
