Paid for priority boarding and didn’t receive. The regular line went fast though. Annoying you have to take another Covid test even being vaccinated

Buffet good way better than dining room or premium restaurants. Never ate so many meals in buffet before because of this. Pizza was great

Solarium was vacant Witt no chairs. Some pools closed. Ghost town. Only 925 passengers in a 5 thousand passenger ship.

Shows were good with great performers. Musicians all were great

Service and Staff

Wait staff and drink people were great. Low rating for guest services. I was charged daily for drinks even though I had drink package. Had to go daily to have removed. Same thing happened last time I cruised with MSC. Annoying when on vacation. Had to show them their own drink package literature to have grey good beverages removed and coffee drinks covered in package. Also double charged for their steakhouse. Had to go daily to have removed. Guest services never once apologized. Terrible service

Ship Quality

Ship is well kept and clean. It’s a shame they still have same computer issues as they had a year ago with double charging and charging for drinks with drink package Room bathroom had mold though which stunk badly.

Cabin / Stateroom

Awesome room suite but bathroom shower had mold and aggravated our sinuses. Smelled terrible when you showered. Also jacuzzi was cold majority of time. All guest services would do was refer me to room steward who I never saw

Ship tip

Book another cruise line. Beautiful ship and great wait and drink staff but their food outside of buffet is gross. Plus they have computer issues that cause charges you shouldn’t receive. Cruised twice in a year period had same issues. Guest services said theist have system issues and don’t do anything about it. Both MSC cruises I’ve had to go daily to have charges removed. Shouldn’t have to spend time daily with them while on vacation. It’s a shame as their boats are great but they are not doing anything to address their computer issues. Both cruises multiple passengers are in line reporting same thing.

It’s good to read honest feedback. We’re trying this cruise soon so we’ll see if our experience is similar. My wife says any food she doesn’t have to cook is good :)

After years of overcharging complaints, I think we can all assume it has nothing to do with computer error. It's called the MSC business model. "Over charge guests every chance you get. Most will have the charges removed, some won't bother and some will never notice."... I didn't think the food was that bad though. The buffet had much of the same dishes as the MDR. I liked the pizza but was nothing special.

We were on that sailing too! The food was the worst I’ve experienced on a cruise line, not a fun trip. Got refused entry to the dining room on the first night for being 10 minutes late 😡

We were on the same sailing. I think we all lost five pounds on the sailing because the food was the worst we’ve ever experienced. The ship is gorgeous and the crew were very friendly. We just can’t get over how terrible the food was. No chance we will ever cruise MSC again, but we were happy we tried it.

Thanks for the review. I was on the Meraviglia in January and had a great experience. I found good variety and quality in the dining room and buffet and thought the food was equal to or better than Carnival, Royal Caribbean & Holland America. Not sure what you paid extra for regarding boarding early since Covid has eliminated any early boarding perks on most cruise lines.
