Review summary

Overall this is bringing us back to cruising 😁 fun

Embarkation

We were nervous as always with the process, only because you never know how long it is going to take and yes we travel with our kids. However it was quick and thorough. Quicker than our one in November on Carnival

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We never had a complaint about the food. We had bacon everyday. On our last cruise their was a sign saying every other day they would have bacon. Of course the full buffet wasn’t open but the ship wasn’t full capacity. We would go to the Jean Philippe everyday and they would give our kids a piece of chocolate. The specialty restaurants are worth it also if you want a change of scenery from the buffet. I do like the table service that they come to you ask for your drink order makes it feel not so buffet. For the kids we never had a issue with finding them something to eat they had a kids corner just for them with high chairs if needed.

Onboard Activities

They always had something going on. Now it’s not a party ship no belly flop contest but we did enjoy the movies by the pool at night and when the band played music or did the dance classes by the pool also. They did do trivia and all of the other normal stuff we didn’t take it any of the theater shows. We would take walks every night with our kids and all the staff would greet them by name. This was the first ship that our 6 year old went into the kids club and loved it. All of the pools we enjoyed even the aqua park. Only downside which I understand in covid times was it was only open for 45 minutes then would close for 15 minutes then open back up. We didn’t go into the aldukts only area. The indoor pool area is such a great concept and we loved it on the seaside. again

Children's Programs

This was the first time out of many cruises that our 6 year old went into the kids club. They even gave him a gift for his birthday! He absolutely loved it

Service and Staff

They were so friendly. They would always greet our kids by their names. Always said hi. They did everything they could to make you feel welcome and have a good time. The waiters we always on point remembered my coffee and how I liked it to what beer my husband drank. They would make our kids a special chocolate drink when we would relax watching a movie by the pool and we didn’t have to ask. They offered.

Ship Quality

Always clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We have no issues with our cabin with 4 people in it which 2 are children. We used our balcony everyday multiple times. We really love there is a shower door vs a curtain. They had the pull down bed already ready for us. We really, really like the variety of free movies for when we had down time in our cabin. We find their cabins to be roomier than other however it seems the balcony is slightly smaller. Our only gripe is the closet set up it’s odd and not user friendly but we are pros now so we always manage. We like the room clean button feature and dnd.

Ship tip

You have to try it! We had our doubts but we did it a second time and loved it even more! The people were so friendly and top notch all the way.

Ports of call

Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, Bahamas

5 out of 5
We were nervous about this port to be honest because of other reviews I read but we honestly loved how lax it was. It was so calm. We loved the beach right off of the ship and the lighthouse. We didn’t mind paying for the lighthouse. We are on vacation you expect to. The views are worth it. The drinks are included and the bar is nice especially with the view and seating. We loved the service at the beach. Of course we only did the one closest to the boat. The food was as well of course it’s hamburgers, fries etc but better than expected. Our kids loved it and the water was calm. There are shops and a bar on your way back to the ship also. We did take a walk at night we really liked. Overall we would go back again.

Cozumel, Mexico

We did the catamaran with beach and snorkeling. It was so much fun. I stayed on the boat with our 3 year old and my husband snorkeled with our 6 year old. They passed out water, margaritas and beer. It was a long ride about 30 minutes to the beach. You are not there very long though however you have full access to all the water sports no extra charge. The only extra charge is the food.
