Most of the shows are at Central Stage. Get there early to get a seat. In front of the stage on deck 6 is the best view.

Mardi Gras is enormous. Plan out which specialty restaurants you want to try. You probably will not be able to try them all but there are so many great food options onboard.

When you first get on go to other decks that have food if you can. Ledo deck was swamped with people until the rooms were ready at 1:30pm. Also, there was a lot of confusion about how the public bathroom automated doors operated. Do NOT stand near door after entering stall because door will not close and after the door closes, swipe over the lock so door cannot be opened from outside.

First, check out Guys Pig and Anchor for breakfast. Nowhere near the crowds of the buffet. Second, if you enjoy music from the solo artists, find a seat between the Fortune Teller and Brass Magnolia. Can be a bit distracting if both sets playing at the same time but great location to hear both when they aren't. If looking for a little quieter location but still close to the music, check out the Alchemy bar.

Make more than one reservation for the Bolt coaster to maximize your chance of riding. If you require customer service wait until day 2 or 3 to speak with them if you can. Expect long lines but remember that there is no big rush- go with it.

If you are used to another class of ships in the Carnival line give it a few days before you make up your mind , I did and really enjoyed myself!

Pack extra patience when returning from visiting ports. Elevators are smaller than other Carnival ships and creates delays when there is a large crowd of people waiting.

If you are traveling with a handicap individual find a cabin floor to travel down and then hit the elevator to go to where you want. You have extra support of the handrails and miss all of the extra foot traffic.
