Embarkation

5 out of 5
Our embarkation went very smoothly. We had arranged with Princess to have a wheelchair available to help my wife due to her ankle injury and surgery, the help that we received was excellent and the helping crew couldn’t do enough to assist us, simply wonderful.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food and service in the main dining rooms was excellent. We chose to have Anytime dining and our companion travelling with us requesting a special menu as she was gluten intolerant. She received personal service from the head waiter and was able to order from a great variety of courses which were either already gluten free or modified and prepared as gluten free dishes. The normal food that we had was always served at the right temperature and always promptly. We only had problems on one night when the MDRs were particularly busy after a shore excursion day when we had to wait for about 30 minutes before a table became available.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
We had a very quiet cruise, spent most of our time near the pool, swimming and enjoying other onboard activities.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The onboard entertainment was magnificent especially the full on company shows in the Princess Theatre. The musicians shows were ok, some of them not really our thing we spent a lot of time in Crooners, Near Crown Grill etc listening to Jumanji, Guitar Player and some piano Jazz. Unfunny Comedians/Magician and some other one person shows ok just not my cup of tea.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The service from the room steward was very good. The wait staff at the International Cafe was was excellent even though they were obviously overwhelmed and stressed at times. Perhaps the most friendly ships personnel that I have encountered in my cruising so far!

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The design and decor was very good overall. The common areas were sparkling clean and presented very well. My only problem was in the International Food Market, aka Horizon Court on deck 16. This area was HUGE! The food was organised into separate sections but it seemed to take forever to find what you were looking for. This was especially difficult for my wife who had mobility issues and had to use a wheelchair at times. It was frustrating to settle onto a table then head back to the buffet to find that the section of the buffet you had just visited was closed or was now inaccessible because the aisle had been closed. The wait staff were excellent and very helpful when asked for directions to dishes and in obtaining drinks.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our cabin was a Mini Suite, the inside was quite spacious and luxurious. The twin USB charging sockets near the main bed head was quite handy and were used every day and night for charging personal devices. Hanging space and storage, drawers and cupboards etc was great. However the balcony we very small, there was barely enough room for the single table with two chairs.

Ports of call

Dravuni Island, Fiji

5 out of 5
This is a fantastic place to visit. It is only a small island with a small population but it is an amazing place to visit. Be aware that this is a Tender Only place of call so if you have mobility issues then this probably isn’t the place for you. If you are active you will enjoy the snorkelling, village walk or even take the ambitious mountain top stroll, about 40 minutes one way, and take in the spectacular 360 degree view of the island and it’s surrounds.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Disembarkation went very smoothly. We organised with Princess Tours for a shuttle to Sydney Airport. Customer Service was outstanding with detailed personal help especially for my wife and her need for assistance during disembarkation and travel from the Quayside to Sydney Airport. Very happy with the service provided.
