The middle of the ship cabins to me were the best due to the proximity to the front and aft of ship. Elevators are very slow, we ended up taking stairs most time, which was fine with us as we are an active family. but good to know if you need elevators.

My only tip to anyone booking on this ship - just book it and enjoy it - you will NOT be disappointed!

I would only recommend this ship to people with families of kids between 5-15. The ship would be a blast for them. Or maybe if you are a first time cruiser it is a good experience. We have been on 2 other cruises with Carnival and from what we were told be friends and family is that RCL is a significant step up in quality. We just did not experience that. It was similar at best.

Realize pack clothes sufficiently to not pay for clothing washing. Build a plan about what you will do before ship docks at ports.

If you buy the drink package, stick to beer and wine. Take your own pictures, they want way too much for the pictures that they take.

There is only one place on the ship to get cold ice water. The coffee shop, The Promenade, level 5. Otherwise you have to buy bottled water for $2.69 at one of the bars! Ridiculous!!!

Take advantage of all the activities they offer. They are great! Also, take enough change for tips and cab fare when at the ports.

Even though it was a closed loop cruise, I highly recommend bringing your passport and passport cards. We kept a photo copy of the passport with us at all times when we exited at each port, left the passports locked up in the room safe. I would probably of brought more hangers to put up clothes in the closet. I would roll our clothes next time instead of laying them flat in the luggage. Highly recommend bringing a package of water and putting your room luggage tag on it and tip the luggage man five dollars when you drop your stuff off at the terminal. Got to our room no problem, even though they said no food or water brought onboard. Be sure to bring a pen and a highlighter, they come in handy every day with your Compass to see what things you wanted to do during the next day. Check out the NextCruise office to book another cruise at a discount. We did that for spring break in March 2018 and was cheaper than my travel agent since I emailed her at the same time. Also received $300 in onboard credits to use at that time.

The ship staff had to deal with a hurricane that kept the ship from docking and the disembarkment was very lengthy and disorganized but in all fairness to them they hadn't had to deal with something like this before. The staff were reporting conflicting procedures and policy. Many passengers had to visit the medical facilities due to running out of medicines and were forced to pay an office visit cost of $80, which should have been waived in our opinion. Also, many were forced to either remain on the ship with an unknown docking time and place or disembark and pay expensive flight and hotel costs that they should have received a voucher for.

Elevators super busy. Prepare to hit the stairs, sometime during trip. Especially during months when kids are abundant.

They did not have any medication at the general store or in medical for fever blisters like Abreva, the one thing I did not bring with me. They did have a large sejecton of other common meds in medical for about .50 each
