Review summary

Thoroughly enjoyed the cruise with my family. There were 10 of us and the ship was a perfect place for us to all reconnect and relax. There was always something for everyone to do, ages 6-69. Beautiful ship and friendly crew!

Embarkation

Security line was very long, but probably to be expected. We had priority Boarding, but the priority part didn't start til after the long security line and didn't seem to be any different than the regular boarding lines.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
This was our first Royal Caribbean cruise. I guess our previous experiences on Celebrity and Princess spoiled us on the food. It was good, we enjoyed it, but there was nothing special or creative about it. Also felt like the drinks were watered down; tasty but no kick!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The grandkids loved all the activities and had a great time at the slides, pools, rock wall and mini golfing. They also loved all the pizza and the Ben and Jerry's shop.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
OK, but nothing outstanding.

Children's Programs

Youngest child in our group was 6 and there was too much to do without visiting any organized group.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Eric, our room steward was fantastic. Also I was very impressed with the staff at the spa. Everyone else was very friendly and helpful.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Very clean and well-maintained. It didn't take long to become oriented with the layout of the ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Great Cabin, it was spacious and comfortable. I would have like some sort of foot stool to go with the chairs on our balcony.

Ship tip

If you buy the drink package, stick to beer and wine. Take your own pictures, they want way too much for the pictures that they take.

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

Always love Galveston. Great places to eat and visit. The plane museum and the train museum are great for adults and kids alike.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
Loved our 12M World Cup Race! Tons of fun! Not really impressed with the area around the dock, but I wasn't interested in tourist junk.

George Town, Grand Cayman

3 out of 5
Here is was a production to take a tender from the boat to the shore, so we didn't bother. Had a spa instead and just relaxed on board. Please note, that the ship closes down most of the bars and there isn't much to do when you stay on the ship.

Falmouth, Jamaica

5 out of 5
Really enjoyed Jamaica. Went to Bamboo Beach, a VIP beach experience. The bus ride gave us a real feeling for the island and once at the beach, we enjoyed the food, drinks and entertainment.

Disembarkation

Smoothest experience ever! Great job of organization on this part!
