I would look carefully at the shore excursions offered and would use the ones run by Royal Caribbean.

Plan ahead to make plans for each port. Make time to see the performance on ship.

If you carry off your luggage, go to the staging area as soon as possible and get in line. If you wait until your "assigned" time, you will have a long wait to depart the ship. It appeared no one followed the schedule on our sailing.

Plan on buying meals at the specialty restaurants.

Deck 4 goes all the way around the ship and is good if you want to walk. It's better than the jogging track because there are so many people up there trying to run, jog, walk or just getting in the way.

Plan your excursions ahead of time

Staff at the Schooner bar was excellent and Silviu mixed us his own cocktails when we asked for something different, which were great. He also makes a great tasting Chocolate Martini that looks like a work of art. Final show of Satruday Night Fever was also very well done. Don't miss it

My tip is not to try and do everything, you just can't. Plan your day with the daily Cruise Compass itinerary.

You should do your research about the ports scheduled to visit, ask questions, and plan ahead for your excursions.

Arrive the day before cruise. Stay at hotel that offers free parking for cruise and has a shuttle. Arrive at the cruise terminal around 10:30 am. Royal Caribbean has the rooms ready fairly fast!

For older people book a cabin close to the elevator to eliminate some walking unless you have no issues.

Relax and let the staff pamper you

Make sure to pay for all packages prior to boarding, much less expensive. Whether it's drinks, excursions, Internet, etc. It's all worth it.

Ask for Banzil Rebello table in the dining room. Fantastic service and so pleasant and happy to see his guests. Wonderful experience!

Always be early that way you can ask questions and get where you need to be.

You will love it!! One of my favorite ships!

For example: You should plan ahead where to go before arriving on every port. Some are easily accessible through local trains & that will save you money.

Wear or have your shorts/swimsuit handy when you board. Your luggage can get to your room up to 7 p.m. Caution: Spa prices are high. Drink packages costly unless you really, really drink a lot. Internet/ slow, and TV/limited, so bring DVD player/movies unless you like same animated over & over again
