Review summary

My wife and i took our first cruise recently. The seven night cruise to Cozumel, Grand Cayman, and Jamaica, on board the Liberty of the Seas. This is a beautiful vessel, with a very helpful, and knowledgeable crew/staff. From the moment we boarded to the last day we were wondering why we waited so long. There were so many things to do while on board you could not do them all. We watched the morning show starring Jeffery, our cruise director. He would go over the days itinerary they called the "Cruise Compass". This was very helpful in planning our day, and when pulling into one of the ports, he would describe what we might find while off ship. Thank you Jeffery!! I must mention Melissa, our stateroom attendant. She would always great us with a smile, and made us feel right at home. Thank you Melissa!! The only thing that we were not thrilled with was the Coke cola pass. They did not give you coke from a can, it was fountain, and more like a sugary syrup cola, not real coke flavor. But that would be our only dislike. So cheers to the Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas  for making our first cruise a memorable one!!

Ship tip

My tip is not to try and do everything, you just can't. Plan your day with the daily Cruise Compass itinerary.

Shopping is great here. Get off the main drag and everything is cheaper. Hint Hint

The Land and Sea excursion was a great time. It started with a submarine type vessel that took you around to sea a ship wreck, and a merman was feeding fish right out the window for a great video op.

Falmouth, Jamaica

When in Jamaica, you can contact Fitzroy Clarke (tour guide) to show you around the island. He was a great guide and made you feel like you were visiting a friend. Thank you Fitzroy. fitzroyclarke@facebook.com

My husband and I got off the ship today and I think the drink package was well worth it.

The drink package definitely helps make the cruse a "all inclusive " vacation.

If you drink, the premium drink package is awesome. I don't drink a lot and neither does my wife. She ordered the drinks and I helped. Probably more than I should have

Time will fly faster than you expect. We booked over a year out now at 113 days! With the holidays coming up time will fly!

Were going next October. Still undecided if we're getting thr premium drink package or not. This will be our third cruise. It's hard to wait over 300 days. I want to go NOW.

Jeffrey was ashore helping passengers find their luggage last Sunday in Galveston. A class act he should be rewarded!

I had Jeffery as the cd on navigator. He is really good. Same issue with the Coke. I didn't buy the package last time because of it. 3.00 per can per day was worth it. I should have just brought on a 12 pack
