This room is right above BB Kings which goes late. You can hear music late into the night in your room. Take earplugs.

If you cruise for the onboard experience, reconsider any cruise on Holland America. We have been on 3 cruises with HAL this year. The entertainment is pathetic. Four of seven nights the main stage has Step One dance shows. At least one night is BBC Earth projected on the screen. Daytime activities are primarily trivia, but they offer how to identify animal tracks, flower arranging, origami, coloring for adults. BORING!!! One movie per day, on the deck at 9:30 pm.

Room service is not great. Trays look “thrown together” and are often missing things like cream for coffee, salt and pepper and often items that were listed on the menu as part of the meal aren’t there. However, the room service waiters were great.
