Great food, great staff, great weather, great scenery, great entertainment, met great people on the ship, had a great time. Konningsdam is an excellent ship, you really never knew you were moving until you looked out the window. Well laid out, Crows nest, Fitness room, indoor pool with retractable roof, outdoor pool, Lido Deck, Dining Room, Pinnacle Grill, all spectacular. BB King and Rock and Roll bands were stellar. Demographic was 50's to 80's and 1200 passengers on a 2600 passenger ship. Very comfortable and we made many friends from mid 50 to mid 80. Suggest that entertainment and bars run an extra hour and there needs to be a way for passengers to easily know how many of their 15 drinks (in drink package) they have used.

BB King Blues and the Rock and Roll bars were awesome, great music and comedy show. They all need to stay open an hour longer.

Service and Staff

Staff were above and beyond. Very friendly and polite.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Top notch all around. Showers were well designed with rectangular shape, hand held shower and foot rest. Shampoo and conditioner were nicely scented as was the entire ship.
Cabin / Stateroom

We were actually in 5111, 4139 looked on to a lifeboat. 5111 was perfect with the corner veranda had a bit more room and clear view.
Ship tip
Do not get a veranda on deck 4, carry a notepad or collect your drink receipts to keep track if you have a drink package.
Very cool must do the tram to get a great overview of the area. Warning - King Crab was $85 US per pound and only sold by the pound. The Crab Bisque was outstanding. The Red Dog Saloon was cozy and iconic with a sawdust floor and live entertainment.
Loved the train ride to the Canadian border. 2200ft climb. You could feel the temperature drop as you went up. Great snowy views at the top. Washroom in each of the period restored railcars.
Great town with friendly people, Creek street is very cool and Anabel's had a fabulous chowder flight (seafood, clam, salmon) that were all amazing. Had a more affordable offering of King Crab with chowder and fries at $59 US (may be less than 1 lb). They also had a flight of Alaskan beer that was also awesome.
