If you're sailing from San Juan, get there a day early. We booked flights to arrive mid-afternoon, but ended up getting there just before it sailed due to flight delays. We missed the first day- in port on the ship because of this.

Many of the restaurants and bars appear hidden on this ship. Did take some investigating and eventually found some interesting seating locations.

Bring lots of books and things to do. Library and game room was a farce. Most of the places for people to socialize were bars! Did have some good small size musical groups, but not nearly enough space to accomodate people wanting to listen except for balconies on several higher floors.

If you don't drink alcohol, you don't need a drink package. There's plenty of iced tea, coffee, juice and water available. Also the Turkey Club Panini, available until 2am in the Solarium, is worth the walk up to deck 11!

Comedians need to be replaced. Production shows are good. The cinema is never used. The rock climbing is more time closed than open. The limitation in beverages included is unbelievable. Paid amenities are expensive. This is noted when prices become reduced by the last two days.

No adult only swim pools--kids everywhere and unattended by parents. Smoking in the casino so we could not go in because of allergies. Latex balloons in areas---also allergies.

If you enjoy a few drinks around the pool and then some at dinner and afterwards, you need to purchase the expensive drink package. Top shelf liquor is there for the asking.

Get the beverage package. Even if you are not a heavy drinker. We are a 1 glass of wine at dinner time and a 1 beer during the day and it still makes sense to get it.

Drink packages are well worth it if you like mixed drinks. Regular package is perfect if you like just beer, wine or soda.

Prepare yourself to have fun. Approach it from an angle where you'd just relax and bask in the moment, not thinking about work for an entire week. Take the time to treat yourself to something great. You only live once so you might as well enjoy it while you can.

To find out about general information about how things work once in the ship. Unfortunately, since it was our first time in a cruise we were a bit lost and confused in the beginning (i.e. restaurants, schedules, offers, stands, towels, etc.).
