Review summary

All the people who worked were fantastic except the casino tables "supervisor" and a "blackjack dealer" could have been a little friendlier. The food was excellent and our waiter and his assistant were great and Samy our room attendant went above & beyond.  We had a leak in the ceiling, I told Samy and it was fixed right away.  The major drawback were all the faucets ran hot water even from the COLD faucet.  It would be cool for a couple of seconds and then it got hot.  I reported it on Sunday and they did not work on it until Thursday.  It's frustrating to brush your teeth with warm to hot water (for the coolest water you had to have the glass under the faucet when you turned on the faucet.)  They actually didn't fix it. It was that way as we departed from the ship. We took excursions and went shopping on each island.  We took our family with us to celebrate our anniversary and RC had petit fours and champagne delivered to our room.  Entertainment was great.  We have never been on a cruise that the Captain and sometimes his staff enjoyed the fun with all of the crowd.  We thought that was great. It showed he enjoys being the Captain and likes to have fun.  Store sales were bargains.  And we enjoyed the casino.  While we waited at the airport, we talked to a couple who had been on a cruise with another cruise line and they asked me if I would recommend RC and I said "Oh yes!".  So hopefully they will try RC.  The staff is the main reason we would use RC again.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Dinner food was always excellent. Windjammer had food everywhere and it was a little hard to figure which way to go to get a certain item.

Onboard Activities

Theme nights were great.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
There were a couple of shows we didn't care for, but the rest was good. The Canadian comedian (Sean O) I think was hilarious. Best show

Children's Programs

Didn't use

Service and Staff

Osged (I think) assistant to the waiter, the waiter and our room attendant Samy.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
It's absolutely beautiful

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Very nice. The rest of our family was jealous because it was so roomy. The bath also was very large. Drawback - not much to watch on TV and no Wi-Fi unless you paid for it.

Ship tip

We had plenty to eat at breakfast, lunch and dinner so we didn't actually snack except maybe a drink.

Ports of call

San Juan, Puerto Rico

Shopped some. Very beautiful island. Didn't get to spend much time there because our flight time kept changing.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

Beautful - went to Coral World and son-in-law and our grandchildren swam with the huge turtles, saw many sea species plus sharks.

Frederiksted, St. Croix, U.S.V.I.

St. John's, Antigua

Lots of houses and buildings in disarray. Made the beautiful island not impressive. Traffic was horrible.

Castries, St. Lucia

Took the Seifield Waterfalls, Rain Forest and the Volcano. Our guide, Shal, was very friendly, funny, easy going and seemed like he was well known with the localsd.

St. George's, Grenada

Took a train ride through the city, but for a couple of hours it cost $120.00. Train was open air with wooden seats. Saw the bunker and it was in disarray. Trash, and building is falling down.
