Review summary

Jewel of the Seas is a pleasure - food and service was EXCELLENT for a cruise of this type - especially for the price. Would have given this trip five stars, but the ship needs a little updating (please add more plug outlets in the room, better internet - add to rooms, some shampoo/amenities would be nice). The islands were a little repetitive - but liked the docking in each stop (no shuttles). Size of ship (2,200 people) is PERFECT - not crowded anywhere or anytime, all ages (not too many little kids). Can't say enough about the food (cooked to order in the buffet area, lots of variety), Chop House had terrific steak and sides!! You definitely get what you pay for and MORE. Have cruised other lines, but in this price range - would definitely travel with Royal Caribbean again!!

LOTS of beautiful lounges, a tiny bit dated but still nice - nice rooms and service!

Cabin / Stateroom

Nice room - end unit so a little extra balcony. Right by the stairs (convenient), close to buffet. Can not believe how QUIET the rooms are!

Ship tip

Could not hear captain's announcements while in room (missed a lot).
