Review summary

In all we had a good time met lots of lovely people. But don’t think we will go back on it’s designed more for families. The staff are hard working and helpful .

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
We had a meal package for 5 nights ,chops grill was the best we thought Giovanni the Italian restaurant was poor we waited 40 minutes for our starters and the selection was limited. The main restaurant service was really good and the menu had plenty of choice, and the food was good.We were disappointed with the specalist coffee only being served in paper cups.

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

2 out of 5
Was disappointed most of the shows were the same as when we were on over a year ago and when talking to other people they said they have been the same for quite a few years

Service and Staff

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship was very crowded at times due to the increase in cabins and hard to find a seat,

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Plenty of storage but in need of updating the curtains are very thin and age worn and the bedding skirt was very aged and in need of replacement, the cabins don’t seem to have been touched in the upgrade and are in need of a makeover.

Ship tip

Bring your own shower gel none supplied , and have a fantastic time

We also had a good cruise but this was the first year I have been on where I wasn't sad to get home. We also were disappointed with some of the entertainment. Seen shows like the dance show and Once Upon a Time too many times now. The sound in the theatre also wasn't great, my other half has worked as a theatre techy and he wasn't impressed. The staff are still as wonderful as ever. Going on the Explorer next year to the Baltic in the hope that the cruise will revolve more around a lot of new places to visit rather than the ship.
