Review summary

Did not know what to expect when we booked the Independence of the Seas because of some negative comments; just really pleased we ignored them.

We had a great time; everything about the cruise was brilliant. The accommodation was as we expected, like being in a good 4*hotel. The food was never ending excellent quality quinine. We could not fault the entertainment, first class every night including top deck black & white nights. The crew could not do enough for you. They were very pleasant, friendly and very helpful. The excursions were as good as you made them with really good tour managers. We could not fault anything. We will be going with Royal Caribbean again and would definitely recommend using them. Thank you

Excellent accommodation especially having the balcony. Servicing the room was good however we think the young cabin girl was new because we had to ask her to replenish things like soap, coffee and tea.

Ship tip

Would recommend the drinks package. Did not think we would drink a lot but it's surprising how you can especially soft drinks. Well worth considering. There are no surprise costs at the end of your cruise.

We cruised on 'Indie' in June this year, had a great time! Lovely food and great service. Tip: ignore Diamond members only sign at breakfast at the upper level of main diner. It's just to limit foot-fall!

glad you had a wonderful time, I didn't realise they had black and white night. I feel a shopping trip coming up.

Gotta experience the ship yourself, not thru others as you found out. Glad you had such an enjoyable time. RCCL would be happy to have you return.
