A cruise is what you make it. This is an older ship and it doesn't have too many activities; however if you want to have a good time you will.

Unless you like to gamble, there is not a lot to do after 9 or 10.

Have fun , enjoy yourself,

If you like smaller ships, this is one of the best. The staff goes overboard, not literally, to make this your best cruise.

Book your shore excursions through the ship.

Expect Grand and please treat it as Grand!!

Go early to events you want to see. Avoid the windjammer buffet, utilize the Park cafe. We purposely did not eat at the upscale restaurants, we love to get to know the wait staff and how they pamper you. Having the same staff at meals is a wonderful experience, one of the reasons for cruising

Be careful if you need wheelchair assistance getting on and off the ship.

Definitely buy the drink packages. Made my bill at checkout be relatively small

Try for a window or balcony - maybe the bathroom will be bigger!

Get to the 10th deck and take a stroll!

On the 10 day or longer cruises it’s a older crowd. The week during Thanksgiving there was over 300 kids. The week after there was 10. Some of the best ports of call are found on the Grandeur.

It’s dated but is a great ship. The staff was friendly. I prefer a promenade over a Centrum because when they do shows in the centrum, there isn’t enough seating. When you’re short like me, it’s hard to see over the people when you’re standing four or five deep. Just enjoy it and have a good time.

If you have the top drink package Starbucks is included on this ship.

The week of Thanksgiving had over 500 kids on board. The week after had 20. The 10 and 12 night cruises have a lot older crowd. Entertainment options for kids is pretty slim if you compare to a oasis class ship or larger

If you have the ultimate drink package you can use it on all Starbucks purchases on the Grandeur. This is an extra charge on larger ships
