Review summary

Loved the cruise. Just wish we had more time in the ports. Would have liked to have done more in Boston. This will have to be a separate vacation for us.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Check in on-line, print luggage tags makes for a smooth embarkation.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
We eat in the main dining room. The service is excellent. There is room for improvement in the selection of food. We do not eat at the specialty restaurants but my husband did order a steak one evening from Chops and he said it was the best steak he has had on the ship.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Fitness center is small but good. Due to the weather conditions, hurricanes Jose and Marie, outdoor activities were limited. What they had were entertaining.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Enjoyed the comedians and Abbacadabra. Also the 80s show and especially the tribute to veterans, first responders, nurses and teachers. Paul Rutter, the cruise director, does a great job.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Room attendant, Dennis, was one of the best, Peter, the host and Ian and Luis, our waiters in my time dining were great and of course Francis, the concierge, was the best.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I have been on the Vision Class of ships so I am familiar with the layout. I prefer the smaller ships. This ship might be old but it is well maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Size is great and Dennis kept it spotless. This cabin is below the Windjammer and the movement of chairs cab be quite annoying. Once I brought it to their attention, the problem was resolved as best it could.

Ship tip

If you like smaller ships, this is one of the best. The staff goes overboard, not literally, to make this your best cruise.

Ports of call

Baltimore, Maryland Did not visit port

Live in Maryland and this is where the cruise started.

Boston, Massachusetts

5 out of 5
Went to Quincy Market and walked around. My husband had clam chowder and said it was more like potatoe chowder and I had a lobster roll that was great.

Portland, Maine

5 out of 5
Loved it. Took a tour to Kennebunkport by bus and a scenic cruise.

Bar Harbor, Maine

5 out of 5
Loved it. Met friends and visited their cottage 2 blocks from the port. They drove us around Acadia National Park and then we ate on the pier.

Saint John, New Brunswick

4 out of 5
Took a tour of the Bay of Fundy museum and scenic cruise. I felt this was overpriced.

Halifax, Nova Scotia

5 out of 5
Very interesting.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Off the ship and in my car at 8:03.
